Lucknow | Big relief has been given to the building owners by the Municipal Corporation. This relief is linked to the relief in house tax. After the decision taken in the executive meeting, now 10 percent relief will be given by the corporation administration in the current house tax and that too till August 31 instead of July 31. Even after this, if the tax is not deposited by the building owners, then action will be taken against them.

After the GIS survey, more than six lakh building owners have come forward in the capital. Out of these, there are more than one lakh building owners, whose tax assessment has not even been done. The effort of the corporation administration is to bring all these building owners under the tax net after assessment. So that these building owners can deposit their house tax regularly.

Talking about the present time, only three and a half lakh building owners deposit tax, while more than two lakh building owners remain on the backfoot in paying tax. While around one lakh new building owners have come forward. The effort of the corporation administration is that all the building owners, apart from three lakhs, should deposit their house tax on time.

Kanpur | During the examination of Village Development Officer and Gram Panchayat Officer, a new revelation has been made regarding the Salwar caught in Kanpur. A huge banyan tree was uprooted and fell on a shanty in the Indu Oil Mill complex in Byculla area around 2.30 am on Thursday, trapping some people inside, a BMC official said.

After getting the information, the fire brigade personnel reached the spot by cutting the branches of the tree and pulled out the two injured from the hut. Both were rushed to the nearby JJ Hospital where doctors declared one of them, Rehman Khan (22), brought dead, the official said.
