    Traffic restrictions in the city for President Murmu’s visit today

    Hyderabad: The Hyderabad city police issued a Traffic advisory in view of the security reason for the visit of the President of India Droupadi Murmu to Hyderabad on Tuesday.

    From 10 am to 10.30 am on Tuesday, the President will arrive at Hakimpet Air Force Station and proceed to Rashtrapathi Nilayam in Bolarum.

    Traffic will be stopped for a while or diverted to Hanuman Temple, near Hakimpet Y Junction, Bolarum Check Post, Navy Junction, Yapral Road, Helipad Y Junction, Bison Gate and Lothukunta.

    Starting from 10 am to 6 pm, due to the movement of VIPs the traffic will be stopped for a while or diverted in the enroute places/routes including Bolarum, Alwal, Lothkunta, Trimulgherry, Karkhana, JBS, Plaza Junction, PNT Flyover, HPS Out Gate, Begumpet Flyover, Greenlands Junction, Monappa Junction, Panjagutta, NFCL, NTR Bhavan, Jubilee Hills Check Post, Road No 45 Junction.

    The president will also visit Gachibowli stadium on the same dayand traffic restrictions will be imposed from Gachibowli to Lingampally Road and enroute towards Gachibowli Stadium from 2pm to 7pm. Commuters are advised to take alternative routes to avoid traffic congestions.

    Police requested the citizens to take note of the advisory and plan their movements accordingly and cooperate with the Hyderabad Traffic Police.

    14 day training camp for NCC cadets concludes at Dundigal

    Hyderabad: The 14 days training camp organised by the Air Force Academy, Dundigal in coordination with NCC Secunderabad (Air Wing) concluded on Monday.

    According to the Indian Army, a total of 50 cadets including 17 girls from Gujrat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh Directorates participated in the camp. The cadets underwent various training activities during the camp and were exposed to the ground-level functioning of the Indian Air Force through visits to various sections during their stay in the camp.

    They also, interacted with the trainees at the academy who had joined IAF through NCC. They were highly motivated and enthusiastic while undergoing the camp at this academy. NCC plays a very important role in the life of a cadet by nurturing them with the right values and discipline at a very early stage in life. The exposure towards aviation and ground training at AFA would definitely motivate the cadets to join Armed Forces in service to the nation.

  • Odisha: Intoxicated youth creates high drama in Mahanadi; Rescued after 4 hours

    Cuttack: A youth created high drama in the influence of alcohol in the middle of Mahanadi River in Banki area of Odisha’s Cuttack district.

    The youth has been identified as Chandan Behera from Ramchandrapur village.

    According to sources, Chandan went to the middle of Mahanadi River from Sunadei ghat at around 11 pm yesterday and had threatened to end his life. Two others from the village also went behind him. As the current of the river was high, the trio found it difficult to reach the river bank.
    After receiving information, Odisha Fire Services Department team reached the spot and launched a rescue operation. he team safely rescued the old man, they had a tough time to spot the youth as he hid near some bushy areas for long time. However, he was subsequently rescued after an intense operation that lasted for nearly four hours. He was later sent to the hospital for treatment.

    Bhubaneswar: The State Transport Authority (STA) in Odisha lately praised actor turned politician Sidhant Mahapatra for saving the life of an accident victim. The STA helmed Mohapatra as ‘source of inspiration’ for his noble deed as a Good Samaritan.

    Taking to tweeter STA wrote, “Good Samaritans like Shri Sidhant Mohapatra are source of inspiration for all of us. Thank you for being a role model.”

    “Do not hesitate. Your timely assistance during the #Goldenhour (first hour) of #roadaccident can save lives. Protection of a #GoodSamaritan is guaranteed by law,” the tweet by STA also said.

    Reportedly, Sidhant Mohapatra, the Odia superstar was returning from Cuttack when he found a biker had been hit by a speeding vehicle. His health condition was critical. Mohapatra rushed to the scene and helped out the victim. He called the Ambulance and took the injured youth to a hospital for treatment. He also waited there till the youth’s family member reach the hospital. Later, the youth was shifted to AIIMS. Now the youth is reportedly out of danger.

    Khurda: A girl’s body was found hanging under mysterious circumstances inside a guest house near Jatni Sitaram Chhak of Khurda today. The deceased has been identified as Rasmita Jena.

    As per reports, the girl along with a youth had checked in at Kanu Guest House yesterday. However, the youth reportedly left the lodge yesterday night while the girl’s body was found hanging.
    While the exact reason behind the girl taking the extreme step is yet to be known, a team of police reached the spot after getting information about the incident from the staff of the Guest House.

    Police rescued the body and sent it to the hospital for postmortem to ascertain what promoted the girl to end her life by hanging herself from a rope.

    Cops are also going through the registration of the guest house to get some lead about the youth who is still missing. He is said to be the resident of Jagatsinghpur.

    Cuttack: Unable to bear girlfriend’s betrayal, a youth reportedly narrated his love story before committing suicide on Facebook live in Odisha’s Cuttack district today.

    One Pratap Kumar Sahoo of Kokalaba village of the district was reportedly in a relationship with a girl. However, he was under severe depression for a couple of days as his girlfriend allegedly betrayed him

    Unable to bear her betrayal, Pratap Kumar Sahoo posted recorded two videos and posted them on his Facebook page today before committing suicide on Facebook live.

    In the videos, Pratap Kumar can be seen narrating his lover story and getting emotional. He could not control his emotions and subsequently committed suicide by hanging himself from a rope while he was live on Facebook.

    Meanwhile, the local police is said to have initiated an investigation into the matter after reaching the spot of Pratap’s suicide.

    Bhubaneswar: Odisha government on Monday appointed 2008 batch IAS officer Yamini Sarangi as the State Project Director of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan (OAVS).

    As per a notification issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance Department of the State government, Yamini Sarangi, Officer on Special ‘Duty, General Administration & Public Grievance Department is appointed as State Project Director, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan (OAVS) vice Sangram Keshari lvlohapatra, IAS transferred.

    The post of State Project Director, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan(OAVS) is declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the post of Additional Secretary provided in the IAS Cadre of the State. Sarangi is allowed to remain in additional charge of Additional Secretary to Government, Finance Department.
    Likewise, Sangram Keshari Mohapaha, IAS (SCS-2012), State Project Director, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan (OAVS) is appointed as Additional Secretary to Government, School & Mass Education Department.imilarly, Vedbhushan, IAS (RR-2020), Sub-Collector, Dharamgarh with additional charge of Executive Officer, NAC, Dharamgarh is appointed as Commissioner, Sambalpur Municipal Corporation. The post of Commissioner, Sambalpur Municipal Corporation is declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the post of Under Secretary provided in the IAS Cadre of the State.

    OAS officer Nrusingh Ch. Swain, Special Secretary to Government, Finance Department is transferred and posted as Collector & District Magistrate, Boudh.

    In exercise of the powers conferred under section 20(1) of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973 (Act ll of 1974), the State Government do hereby appoint Nrusingh Ch. Swain, OAS(SS) as the District Magistrate in the district of Boudh.

    Kanker. In view of frequent road accidents in the district, continuous action is being taken against the negligent drivers by the Transport and Police Department. In the same sequence, various road accidents like speeding and negligent driving, driving under the influence of alcohol, riding in goods vehicles, overloading vehicles are included.

    Under Section 19 of the Motor Vehicles Act 1988 and Rule 21 of the Motor Vehicles Rules 1989, driving licenses of 33 drivers were suspended in the month of June for such careless drivers. District Transport Officer Atul Asaiyya said that the police department sends a proposal to the Transport Department for suspension of the license, after which action is taken to suspend the license after giving an opportunity of hearing to the concerned license holder.

    If you have previously registered yourself on the website and have already been accredited for G20 meetings, you may seek accreditation for the Leaders’ Summit by logging in to www.g20.org using your login ID and password on ‘My Dashboard’.

    If you have not registered yourself on the website previously and want to seek accreditation for the G20 Leaders’ Summit, you may directly apply for media accreditation for the Leaders’ Summit. (Registration/Accreditation>>Media-Leaders’ Summit)

    Raipur. State Kisan Congress General Secretary Lallu Singh joined Aam Aadmi Party. AAP’s co-incharge Gary Bading welcomed Lallu Singh at the state office. During this, Lallu Singh made several serious allegations against the Congress saying that he had joined AAP after being influenced by the policies of Arvind Kejriwal.

    After joining the Aam Aadmi Party, in a discussion with the media, Lallu Singh said that he is roasting Gandhi and Nehru. They believe in Gandhi, but do not believe in Gandhi.
