Nitish Kumar’s party is going to break, many JDU leaders are in touch with BJP: Sushil Modi

New Delhi (IANS). After Maharashtra, the situation of rebellion is visible in Bihar as well. This claim has been made by former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and BJP MP Sushil Kumar Modi.

Speaking to reporters in Delhi, Sushil Modi said that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s party JDU is in rebellion and many JDU MLAs and MPs are in touch with the BJP.

He claimed that there is going to be a stampede in JDU and there is going to be a big break.

Sushil Modi said that the Nitish Kumar who did not even give time to his MLAs and MPs to meet them, made them wait for a whole year, the same Nitish Kumar is now meeting the MLAs and MPs of the party.

Taking a sarcasm, he said that Nitish Kumar, who did not meet MLAs and MPs of his own party during the last 17 years, is now meeting them for half an hour.

He further said that ever since Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has accepted Rahul Gandhi as his leader and has made Tejashwi Yadav his successor, since then the situation of rebellion in his party JDU had arisen.

Completely ruling out the possibility of Nitish Kumar returning to NDA, he said that there is no question of Nitish Kumar returning to NDA. BJP has carried Nitish Kumar for 17 years and now he will not return to NDA.

  • ‘Side effect’ of Maharashtra’s politics in Bihar

‘Side effect’ of Maharashtra’s politics in Bihar

Patna (IANS). The ‘side effect’ of the split in the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in Maharashtra is being felt in Bihar. After the split of NCP in Maharashtra, the opposition parties in Bihar claim that the story of Maharashtra can be repeated in Bihar as well. Although the ruling party is denying it, it is talking about misuse of institutions.

Rashtriya Lok Janata Dal (RLJD) chief Upendra Kushwaha clearly said that the way opposition unity was going on in the country, the incident in Maharashtra is natural.

Pointing towards Bihar, he said that let’s see what happens in the coming days.

LJP (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan says that Nitish Kumar is also afraid of breaking JDU due to break in NCP. Chirag claimed that many of his MLAs and MPs were in touch with the other party. He even said that many leaders of JDU are also in contact with me.

Here, BJP state president Samrat Chowdhary said that Nitish Kumar has finished politically. Their MLAs are also knowing that if this situation continues, then it will be difficult to win the elections. This is the reason why their MLAs are looking for a place.

He said that it will be seen if there is any proposal to join BJP. Meanwhile, BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi said the rebellion in Sharad Pawar’s NCP was a result of the Patna meeting of opposition unity, in which the ground was being prepared to project Rahul Gandhi.

Sensing that Maharashtra-like situation may arise in Bihar as well, Nitish Kumar has started talking to MLAs and MPs separately.

Sushil Modi said that JDU’s MLA-MP will neither accept Rahul Gandhi nor Tejashwi Yadav. In such a situation, there is a possibility of stampede in JDU.

Here, JDU spokesperson and former minister Neeraj Kumar said that ending the existence of BJP’s ally party is in his DNA. He said that first Shiv Sena and now NCP. He said that among those who have joined the cabinet after breaking away from NCP, there are many people on whom ED’s case is going on. He said that the incident happened in Maharashtra, it is proved that first threaten and then get included.

  • Hemant Soren’s big bet, made former education minister’s wife a minister without becoming an MLA

Hemant Soren’s big bet, made former education minister’s wife a minister without becoming an MLA

Ranchi (IANS). CM Hemant Soren has made a big bet just before the possible by-elections in the Dumri assembly constituency of Jharkhand in the coming months. He has made his wife Baby Devi a minister on the vacant seat in the cabinet after the death of former Education Minister Jagarnath Mahto, who was an MLA from this region.

Baby Devi was administered the oath of office by Governor CP Radhakrishnan in a brief program held at the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan on Monday.

It is discussed that like her husband, she will be allotted education and excise department as a minister.

Baby Devi somehow stuttered and read out the affidavit in Hindi.

Many dignitaries including Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Ministers Satyanand Bhokta and Banna Gupta were present on the occasion.

Baby Devi is not an MLA at present and as per rules, she needs to be elected as an MLA within the next six months to continue as a minister.

With her taking oath as a minister, it has been decided that Baby Devi will be the candidate from the ruling coalition in the by-election to be held in Dumri assembly constituency.

Jagarnath Mahto was the MLA of JMM from Dumri assembly constituency. He died on April 6 during treatment in Chennai.

Jagarnath Mahto was elected MLA for four consecutive terms from this constituency. After his death, discussions started about his legacy. Earlier there was talk of Jagarnath Mahato’s son Akhilesh Mahato contesting elections and becoming a minister. But because of his age being less than 25 years, his wife has been made a minister.

Please tell that CM Hemant Soren has done this kind of experiment earlier also. After the death of minister Haji Hussain Ansari, Soren gave place to his son Hafizul Hasan Ansari in the cabinet in the year 2021 without becoming an MLA. Later, he reached the assembly after winning the by-election as a JMM candidate.

  • AIMIM may field Akbaruddin Owaisi’s son from this constituency in Telangana polls

AIMIM may field Akbaruddin Owaisi’s son from this constituency in Telangana polls

Ahead of the upcoming Telangana Assembly polls, there is widespread speculation in political circles that the All India Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) is likely to field Akbaruddin Owaisi’s son, Dr. Nooruddin Owaisi, as an MLA candidate.

According to party sources quoted in the DC report, Dr. Nooruddin Owaisi is likely to contest the Charminar Assembly Constituency, which has a historical significance for his family. His grandfather, Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi, and his uncle, AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi, both made their electoral debut from Charminar.

The AIMIM has been representing the Charminar constituency for the past 40 years. Currently, the constituency is represented by Mumtaz Ahmed Khan.

Initially, Asaduddin and Akbaruddin Owaisi had planned to field Nooruddin Owaisi in the 2018 assembly polls. However, due to his age, the plan was postponed. It is highly probable that he will now be fielded in the upcoming assembly polls.

Dr. Nooruddin Owaisi, who holds an MBBS degree, currently serves as a trustee and secretary of the Salar-e-Millat Educational Trust.

    AIMIM to enter fourth generation
After Dr. Nooruddin Owaisi enters politics, AIMIM will enter its fourth generation.

In 1957, the party’s responsibility was taken on by Abdul Waheed Owaisi, the grandfather of Asaduddin Owaisi. He was succeeded by his son Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi, the father of Asaduddin Owaisi, in 1975.

In 2008, Asaduddin Owaisi became the third president of the party. Later, his brother became the floor leader of the party. Now, it is likely that Akbaruddin Owaisi’s son will enter politics.

After Dr. Nooruddin Owaisi enters politics, AIMIM will enter into the fourth generation.

  • Rice prices hiked by 1% government cess

Rice prices hiked by 1% government cess

Rajamahendravaram: The skyrocketing prices of rice is giving shock to the consumers of both Godavari districts, who were already burdened with increased rates of vegetables and pulses. The rate of rice was doubled in the last week, which was increased from Rs 5 to Rs 8 per kg. Traders are hinting that the rates may further go up in a few days.

Earlier, 26-kg bag of Sonamasuri variety of rice used to cost Rs 1,040. Now, this has gone up to Rs 1,140 at rice mills. When it comes to the open market, the price will be Rs 1,250. It is customary for retailers to sell a bag of rice at a higher price of Rs 50 to Rs 100. A 26-kg bag of HMT-type fine rice used to cost Rs 1,250, now it has increased to Rs 1,350.

Wholesale and retail traders alleged that rice millers across the State along with joint Godavari districts have formed a syndicate and increasing the prices. Narayana Rao, who sells rice on the main road of Rajahmundry, said that the recent imposition of a 1 per cent cess on a bag of paddy grain by the State government is the main reason for the increase in prices. Rice millers initially opposed the cess but agreed after the syndicate assured them that Vigilance and Civil Supplies would not raid, he said. Millers have transferred cess burden to dealers and wholesale shopkeepers and the traders have passed this burden to the consumers.

But the millers said that most of the grains were rain-soaked and damaged, hence the prices were rising. But people complained that this situation of price rise never happened in the past even when more heavy rains occurred.
