    Dhamtari. Effective control over the tendency to take drugs and a positive environment has to be created in favor of de-addiction in the society. Deputy Director Social Welfare said that a program will be organized in this regard on June 26 in Navagaon (Kandel) of District Panchayat Dhamtari. In this, departmental artists, Bharatmata Vahini, Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club and other private institutions will organize drug prohibition based Rangoli, painting, awareness rally, film screening, drama and cultural programs.

    Raipur. Chhattisgarh will try to create a positive environment by creating public awareness against drug abuse on the occasion of International Drug Prevention Day on June 26. With the help of various departments, a campaign will be launched for wide publicity and public awareness in all the districts to develop broad public opinion against drugs. In this regard, instructions have been issued by the Social Welfare Department to all the collectors.

    School education, higher education, health, sports and youth welfare, women and child development, public relations, panchayat, excise and urban administration departments have been asked to make special efforts to create awareness in the society against drug abuse. For the prevention of drug addiction, special emphasis has been laid by the Social Welfare Department on creating awareness in the community. For this, it has been asked to organize keeping in mind the local culture and tradition. Taking steps in this direction, programs will be organized for de-addiction in panchayats through Bharat Mata Vahini. On the occasion of International Day against Drug Abuse, by establishing dialogue with the people, they will be informed about the ill-effects of drug abuse. Wide publicity will be done in drug and AIDS affected areas for de-addiction. Along with this, de-addiction programs will be broadcast through radio and TV. Efforts will be made through motivational speeches to create awareness among the students against drug abuse. Along with this, drug free literature will be distributed.
