One youth died in a road accident, another injured

One youth was killed while another injured critically, when the bike(bearing registration number HP03C7266), which they were riding met with an accident near Shego village under the jurisdiction of the Kaza police station in tribal district of Lahaul and Spiti today.

According to the police, the deceased was identified as Subham (23), a native of Madhya Pradesh. The injured victim Rajan (20), a native of Haryana, was referred to the IGMC, Shimla, from the Kaza hospital. The families of both the victims were informed about the accident. After conducting a post-mortem, the body of the deceased would be handed over to his family.

“A case has been registered and investigation is underway to ascertain the actual cause of the accident,” the police said.

One killed, another injured in Solan road accident

One person was killed and another injured when a Maruti car (bearing registration number HP-64-B-8499) in which they were travelling plunged into a gorge near Dharja village on the Solan-Rajgarh road today evening.

The deceased has been identified as Sushil Kumar (40), a resident of Patta Brauri, near Subathu. Naveen Kumar (35), a resident of Radiyana village, near Subathu, was injured in the accident. He was rushed to the Regional Hospital at Solan.

The Solan Superintendent of Police, Virender Sharma, said one person was killed and another injured when the car in which they were travelling plunged into a gorge near Dharja village. Sharma said a case for rash and negligent driving leading to death of a person had been registered and further investigation was underway.

Accident: Car fell into a ditch in Rampur’s Ropdu Nala, one youth died on the spot, another injured

Rampur. A car number HP-35-6661 went uncontrolled and fell into a ditch near Ropdu Nala, 6 km from Rampur in Shimla district. In the accident, a young man in the car died on the spot while another was injured. The injured have been admitted to Aneri Hospital for treatment. The youth killed in the accident has been identified as Neeraj (21) resident of village Pakhand Ani, while the injured has been identified as Naval Kishore (21) resident of Pakhand Ani. The police have taken the body into custody and handed it over to the relatives after the post-mortem.

According to the information received from the police, around 8 o’clock on Saturday night, they received information that a car had met with an accident near Ropdu Nala, in which two youths were traveling. According to the police, a young man in the car died on the spot, while the other injured youth was admitted to the hospital for treatment with the help of the local people.
