THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A department-level report has been submitted against IG Guguloth Lakshmana on his links with self-styled antique dealer Monson Mavunkal in the antique fraud case. According to the investigation report, the IG conspired to help Monson’s fraud. The department-level inquiry was conducted by ADGP TK Vinod Kumar.
The inquiry report was handed over to the Chief Secretary. Lakshmana’s post as ADGP has been withheld following the report. The crime branch may send notices to IG Lakshmana and former DIG Surendran today. IG Lakshmana is the third accused in the Monson Mavunkal case. Former DIG Surendran is the fourth accused. KPCC president K Sudhakaran is the second accused in the case.
