    DMK Neta Expelled From Party, Arrested For Insulting Remarks About Khushbu Sundar

    DMK neta Sivaji Krishnamurthy on Sunday was arrested by the police after being expelled from his party. Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin-led DMK expelled Krishnamurthy from the party for his comments about BJP leader Khushbu Sundar. DMK general secretary Duraimurugan, in a statement, announced Krishnamurthy’s expulsion for his controversial statements on Sundar as well as Governor RN Ravi. During his recent speech, the DMK neta called Sundar “an old vessel” and also made remarks about Ravi for which he was suspended earlier.

    “Sivaji Krishnamurthy is being dismissed from all party posts, including the primary membership, for violating party discipline and bringing disrepute to it,” Duraimurugan announced. Meanwhile, his arrest comes after a case was registered with the Kodungaiyur police.

    ‘My fight is not going to stop,’ says Sundar
    “My fight is not going to stop because this is not about the party alone, this is the mindset of a man where he thinks it is his birthright to insult, demean and speak about women in such a deplorable manner on a public platform,” Sundar said while speaking to Republic.

    “These kinds of men need to be taught a lesson and I am going to file a case against him, the NCW has taken a suo-moto against him, my party stands with me. But me as a woman, I will make sure that section 509, outraging a woman’s modesty in any which way, it is a punishable offence for up to one year and I will make sure that this man is held by the collar and put behind bars,” she further said.

    The BJP sent a complaint to the police demanding strict action for his acts under sections 294-B, 500, 504, 504 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3 and 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act 1998.

    New Delhi (IANS) | On Father’s Day, a 64-year-old man stabbed his 23-year-old son to death in East Delhi’s IP Extension area in a fit of rage. Police have arrested the accused. The police gave this information on Sunday. Police say that the accused stabbed the son with a knife when he was trying to pacify the quarrel.

    Accused Ashok Singh retired from the post of Senior Manager from Engineers India Limited. The son of the accused, Aditya, is a computer engineer and works in Gurugram. The injured Aditya has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

    Ashok bought a flat in Gurugram and instructed his wife Manju to download an app on her cell phone to make the payments.

    The app was taking time to download, the official said. This enraged Ashoka, and a quarrel broke out between the husband and wife. His son Aditya tried to pacify him. That’s why Ashok got angry and stabbed his son.

    Ashok stabbed son Aditya twice with a knife. He was taken to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital for treatment. He was later discharged after treatment.

    The police have registered an FIR in this regard under section 324 of the IPC.

    Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam city police arrested three persons who cheated people by assuring them to provide 10 per cent commission for exchange of Rs 500 notes with Rs 2,000 currency notes. Briefing the media, DCP-1 V Vidya Sagar Naidu said the accused were identified as Dharma Rao, D Sunil and Ahmed Mohideen. Based on the complaint received from victim, the police arrested three of them and recovered the cash. It is learnt that Dharmarao is in contact with Ahmed Mohideen who belongs to Kakinada. The former shared the proposal with Ahmed Mohideen to exchange Rs 500 currency notes with the high value notes plus a commission of 10 per cent. Meanwhile, Ahmed Mohideen got in touch with some realtors and collected cash to the tune of Rs 60 lakh. The realtors met one Kishore and made a proposal to invest in a property to the tune of Rs 60 lakh. After receiving cash from Kishore, the realtors met Dharmarao and Sunil on June 3 and handed over the cash to them. After receiving the cash, both the accused escaped from there. Later, Vijayawada based Kishore lodged a complaint about his lost cash with the police. The city police nabbed the three accused in the case and recovered the cash. Meanwhile, the DCP said that some more persons were involved in the case and soon they will be taken into custody. The DCP appreciated CI Tirumala Rao and SI Satyanarayana for cracking the case within a short span.

    The Nuh police on Saturday arrested an interstate arms smuggler from Madhya Pradesh and seized 14 illegal pistols and as many magazines from him. The accused has been identified as Gurudev Singh Barnala, a resident of Umrati village in Madhya Pradesh, who was living in Burhanpur district of the state, the police said. “On September 20, 2022, a police team was on patrolling duty along the Hodal-Punhana road when they received information about one Ashif who possessed illegal pistols and intended to sell them,” the police said. Acting on this information, Ashif was apprehended and two pistols and two magazines were recovered from his possession. Further investigation led to the arrest of another suspect, Shehnawaz, alias Saini, a resident of Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura, on May 19. Upon interrogation, Shehnawaz disclosed about Barnala, who was subsequently arrested on May 23 from from Doi Phodia in Burhanpur, Madhya Pradesh. During the search, the police recovered 14 illegal country-made pistols and 14 magazines from his possession, the police said. “The suspect had supplied thousands of illegal weapons from Madhya Pradesh to Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and other states and also confessed of supplying arms to gangsters. It is expected that more information about the entire network involved in arms smuggling will be revealed,” said Varun Singla, SP, Nuh. In total, three suspects have been arrested.

    Bunty, alias Pardhan, a notorious criminal and associate of the Ashok Nilothi gang, was nabbed by a team of the Special Task Force (STF), Bahadurgarh, by carrying out a raid at his house in Deshalpur village here today.

    He had been evading arrest for the past over three years and the Haryana Police had announced a cash reward of Rs 55,000 on the information leading to his arrest. Bunty, who was also a former sarpanch of his native village, was wanted in more than 20 cases of heinous crimes such as murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping and loot, etc, said Waseem Akram, SP, STF.

    Akram said they got a tip-off that Bunty was hiding in his native Deshalpur village. Acting swiftly, a team of the STF led by Inspector Vivek Malik conducted raids at his possible hideouts there early in the morning, leading to his arrest.

    “During interrogation, Bunty confessed to his involvement in over a dozen criminal cases. He entered the world of crime in 1995 by kidnapping a youth in Rohtak following a property dispute. Thereafter, Bunty opened fire at a youth in a hotel in Jaipur in 1997. He killed a doctor at Bahadurgarh in 1999 just to take revenge on his friend. In the same year, he murdered the sarpanch of Barahi village,” said Malik, in-charge, STF, Bahadurgarh.

    He said last year, Bunty also hatched a plot of killing notorious gangster Naveen, alias Bali, when he was to be taken to the hospital by the police for a test, but it was not successful as the Bahadurgarh police nabbed the former’s friends while taking preventive action

    The police have arrested a man for attempt to murder.

    The suspect has been identified as Kuldeep Singh of Subhash Nagar, Pinjore.

    In his complaint to the police, Naval Pravesh had stated that on May 11, he had gone to Rampu Siudi village to pick up his employer Sandeep Singh Khokhar’s children. As he reached near Sandeep’s house, his brother Kuldeep Singh reached there and allegedly started abusing him over some issue. The suspect allegedly thrashed the complainant and fired at him with an air gun.

    The complainant got injured and was taken to a hospital in Kalka. The police were informed about the incident following which a case was registered at the Pinjore police station and the suspect was arrested.

    Hyderabad: A massive gambling racket in Thailand has led to the arrest of 80 Indian gamblers, including Chikoti Praveen from Telangana, Madhav Reddy (A1 in an ED case in Hyderabad), and Medak DCCB Bank Chairman Chitti Devender Reddy.

    According to reports, Chikoti Praveen had allegedly set up the gambling den in Pattaya along with Thai women. People from Hyderabad and other parts of India were allegedly brought in for gambling. The group was scheduled to leave for India on Monday morning, but the police raided the hotel late at night and caught them. The Thai police said 80 Indians were arrested in the raid at the Asia Pattaya Hotel on Soi Phra Tamnak 4 in Tambon Nong Prue, Bang Lamung District. The police were acting on information received from detectives that several Indians had booked rooms in the hotel from April 27 to May 1 and were using a conference room called Sampao for gambling.

    The gamblers were reportedly caught with a total of Rs 100 crore in their possession. Gambling is considered a serious crime in Thailand, a predominantly Buddhist country.

    Hyderabad: Two persons who were involved in a cheating case and absconding since last three decades were arrested by the Telangana Crime Investigation Department (CID) on Tuesday.

    The arrested persons Sherley Tommy (70) and C. I Joy (67) along with others started Travencore Finance Leasing Company and lured people into investing money assuring of high interest. After collecting large amounts from the public all the ten partners of the company including Tommy and Joy misappropriated the amount and duped the investors, said Additional DGP, (CID) Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagwat.

    On a complaint a case was registered by the Crime Investigation Department in the year 1987 and since the two persons were absconding. On specific information, a team of CID including Inspector J Lingaswamy, sub inspector D Ramesh and other staff caught them in Ernakulam, Kerala. They were brought to the city and produced before the court.

Police arrested Aditya, a resident of Ghaziabad, from Labor Chowk Noida along with 3 mobile phones, 1 debit card.

    The accused, by creating fake e-mail IDs to get the victim and her son employed abroad, sending e-mails and talking on the phone, deposited about Rs 12.36 lakh in the bank account in the name of registration fees, foreign visa fees and other services. Online transfers were done. Later on knowing about this money, he stopped talking to her. After which the victim reached the Knowledge Park police station and lodged her complaint. The matter was of online money transfer, so the matter was transferred to cyber cell. Cyber cell also found the accused and arrested him showing readiness in this matter.

    Bijapur. In Chhattisgarh’s Naxal-affected Bijapur district, security forces have arrested a Naxalite by demolishing a Naxalite camp in separate incidents. Police officials gave this information on Friday. Police officials said that security forces have demolished the Maoist camp near Pillur village under Farsegarh police station area of the district. He said that on April 18, STF teams were sent to Tekameta, Marwada, Sagmeta, Badekaler, Chhote Kakler and Pillur villages on information about the presence of Naxalite leaders in Farsegarh police station area. Police officials said that when the team reached near Pillur village on Thursday, it received information about a pressure bomb planted by the Maoists, which was defused by the security forces. On the other hand, sensing the presence of police in the area, the Naxalites fled away from the camp. The security forces have demolished the Naxalite camp.
    He told that in the forest of Pillur village, the Naxalites had set up tents and huts at five different places, which were demolished by the security forces. Explosives, gun powder, detonators, fuses, arrow bombs and other items have been recovered from the spot. Police officials said that in another incident, the security forces arrested a Maoist in Gangalur police station area. He said that during the anti-Naxal operation in the district, a joint team of DRG and Central Reserve Police Force was sent on patrolling in Gangalur police station area on Thursday. Police officials said that when the team was in the forest between Kamkanar and Chinnajojer villages, a suspicious person started running after seeing the security forces. Later the police team laid siege and arrested him. He said that during interrogation, the accused revealed his name as Vinod Hemla (33). He told that a tiffin bomb was recovered from the Naxalites which has been defused.
