Lucknow (IANS) | The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has applied for survey of Jama Masjid in Badaun Court. A lawyer appeared in the court on behalf of the ASI and he agreed to conduct the survey. For this he has sought time.
Mukesh Patel, state president of Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha, had filed an application in September 2022 in the court of Civil Judge Senior Division Badaun. In which it was claimed that Jama Masjid was Neelkanth Mahadev temple which was destroyed and converted into a mosque.
The Mahasabha had demanded the ASI to conduct a survey of the mosque. It made three parties in the case, which include the ASI, the state government and the mosque committee.
According to Hindu Mahasabha’s lawyer Ved Prakash Sahu, the ASI will conduct a survey of the Jama Masjid and then submit its report to the court.
Sahoo said the court had given 15 days time to the ASI to submit the report. The next date of hearing of the case is May 30.

Delhi Police ASI Arrested By CBI For Taking Bribe
The CBI has arrested an assistant sub-inspector of the Delhi Police for allegedly taking bribe from a person in the Inderpur area on behalf of an inspector posted at Rajouri Garden police station, officials said Sunday.
Trilochan Dutt, the ASI, was arrested while he was accepting the bribe, they said. The CBI had registered an FIR against Inspector Narendra Kumar Pahalwan of the Special Staff, Rajouri Garden police station, and unidentified others for allegedly demanding a bribe of Rs 50,000 from a JJ Colony resident Parmeet Singh, the officials said.
Singh approached the CBI alleging that the police had caught some people playing “satta” (betting) in a jhuggi in front of his house, the FIR stated. Pahalwan allegedly demanded Rs 50,000 and an agreement to transfer the jhuggi be prepared in his name for not invoking Arms Act and MCOCA charges against Singh, it alleged. After doing necessary verification using independent witness and concealed recorder, the CBI proceeded with a trap operation. The agency arrested ASI Dutt during alleged bribe payment who was receiving it on behalf of Pahalwan, the officials said.

800 challan of ASI was deducted
Durg. Police has launched a campaign against those who drive without helmets. Due to this action of Durg police, now even the policemen themselves are not able to escape. In this sequence, the Durg police has issued a challan of Rs 800 to the ASI who was driving without a helmet. The name of the ASI is Mayank Kumar Yadav.
Actually, a photo was sent by a common citizen in the social media account of Durg Police by ASI Gupteshwar Yadav riding a bike without a helmet. After getting the information about the photo, SP Abhishek Pallav gave instructions to take action. Taking action, the traffic police issued a challan of Rs 800 under the Vehicle Act. Let us tell you that Sub-Inspector Mayank Yadav is posted in Bhilai Nagar police station. Action was taken against the jawan under sections 194(d) (driving without helmet) and 50(2) (wrongly writing the number plate of the vehicle).
