    Balasore: Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed Odisha government and local residents for taking all possible efforts for the swift action for rescue operation following train accident at Bahanaga of Balasore district.

    While speaking to the media persons after reviewing situation at the accident site and meeting the injured persons at the Balasore District Headquarter Hospital, Modi said, “I thank Odisha government and local administration for doing their best to help the people. I also thank the local residents from the bottom of my heart because during this time of tragedy be it blood donation or help during rescue operation, they have done everything to their capacity. Their timely helped to accelerate the rescue operation work.”

    Balasore. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after taking stock of the situation at the Balasore train accident site, has reached a hospital in Balasore to meet the people injured in the accident. A horrific accident has taken place in Balasore, Odisha after three trains collided, in which 280 people have died so far while more than 900 people are said to be injured.
    SP President Akhilesh Yadav attacked the central government regarding the Balasore incident. He tweeted – The false technology of the false government has killed so many people. Everyone from the minister to the company is responsible for this. Investigate this mega scam and corruption like a criminal case and take punitive action. This is not a shield, it is BJP’s hypocrisy.
    Germany expressed grief over the Balasore accident. His Foreign Minister Annalena Barebock said – Deeply saddened by the terrible train accident in Odisha. My heartfelt condolences to my Indian friends and my dear colleague S Jaishankar. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families.
    On Odisha train accident, AAP MP and Railway Committee member Sandeep Pathak has said that more than 200 people have lost their lives and hundreds are injured in this train accident.     Balasore train accident: PM Modi takes stock of situation at spot

    Balasore: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the train accident site at Bahanaga of Odisha’s Balasore district and reviewed situation on Saturday.

    The Prime Minister arrived at the accident site with a special helicopter of the Air Force along with his principal secretary PK Mishra. He visited the accident spot and spoke with some concerned officials to know more about the tragedy.

    Apart from taking stock of the situation at the accident spot, Modi also visited the Balasore District Headquarter Hospital. He met some injured persons and the doctors at the hospital. He discussed about their treatment and wished their speedy recovery.

    Union Ministers Ashwini Vaishnaw and Dharmendra Pradhan were present with the Prime Minister.

    It is to be noted here that 261 passengers were killed while around 900 others were injured after several coaches of the Coromandel Express and SMVT-Howrah Super Fast Express derailed in Balasore district yesterday evening,
