At such a time, even today a family of Kosagondi, a small village in Balod district, is in discussion about the unique service of mother cow. Farmer Pannuram Sahu and his wife Lalita Sahu, residents of village Kosagondi, located about 12 km from Gurur block headquarters, are devotees of Gaumata.

With the passage of time, now the number of cattle in his house has increased to 24. Pannu Sahu’s son Evat Kumar Sahu and daughter-in-law Omeshwari Sahu also take care of the cow, that is, the whole family serves the cow. This family has 80 decimals of land, in which they cultivate paddy. Along with this, there is a tractor in the house, in which he goes to work in other places.
