    Narayanpur. This happened on Wednesday in Chhotedongar of Dhur Naxal area Narayanpur, which proved once again that a dog is more loyal than a human being. Ghasia Ram, a villager in Turusmeta area of Chhotedongar, went to the forest on Wednesday morning to find cattle. Then a female bear attacked him. During this, his two brothers were also with the villager. Both of them ran away from the spot. But meanwhile, hearing the noise, Ghasia Ram’s dog reached the spot and clashed with the female bear. This faithful dog kept fighting the bear till then. Until the female bear ran away from the spot. Till then this pet dog kept fighting with him. Eventually the female bear had to give up in front of the dog and run away from the spot. Only then the life of villager Ghasia Ram could be saved.

    This incident took place in Turusmeta village, situated at a distance of 08 kilometers from Chhote Dongar tehsil, amidst dense forests. Here Ghasia Ram along with his two brothers had gone to find cattle in the forest. At the same time, a female bear roaming in the forest with her 03 children attacked him. Only then the accompanying pet dog pounced on the female bear attacking the owner, due to which the bear ran away towards the dense forests with her children.

    Korba. A bear attacked a Pando tribe youth in the district. He fought the bear to save his life. After a struggle that lasted for about 10 minutes, the bear fled towards the forest. The treatment of the seriously injured youth continues in the hospital.

    In the incident, the serious youth somehow reached home, but had to face a lot of difficulty in taking him to the hospital. The incident is of Semra circle under Pasan forest range of Katghora forest division. In fact, Bankheta village is situated amidst the dense forest in the Tilaidand forest complex, whose dependent village Ranigadhi is inhabited by families of the Pando tribe. Banasram Pando (36 years), living in Ranigadhi, had gone out of the house for some work a day ago. Yesterday at around 7 pm, he was returning home through the hill amidst heavy rain.

    Meanwhile, the bear attacked Banasram. He fought the bear to save his life. The struggle between them went on for about 10 minutes. Eventually the bear ran towards the forest. Banasram was seriously injured in the incident. The bear had scratched his leg and calf. He reached home covered in blood.

    A bear mauled a man at Sinchogi village near Naggar in Manali subdivision of the district today. According to information, Khem Singh (30) had gone to graze goats in an orchard when a bear suddenly attacked and injured him badly. The victim got a grievous injury on his head and face during the attack.

    Ashish Sharma, in-charge, The 108 Emergency service , Kullu and Lahaul zone, said first-aid was given to the victim. The victim got further treatment at the Kullu hospital from where he was referred to PGIMER, Chandigarh.

    The villagers have urged the administration and forest officials to provide immediate financial assistance for the treatment of the victim. They demanded that a cage should be set up at the spot to catch the bear.
