    Bemetara. In Bemetara district, a woman who went to work in the field died due to electrocution. It is being told that the electric wire in the field was bent, due to which the woman got electrocuted. The accident is of Nawagarh police station area. According to the information received, the electric wire was bent in the field of village Padkidih. The villagers had complained about this to the electricity department.

    But the electricity department did not take any action and the woman who went to work in the field on Friday became a victim of the accident. The villagers did a blockade, while the angry villagers blocked the Bemetara-Navagarh main road. The villagers have demanded a compensation of Rs 50 lakh. Let us tell you that former minister Dayaldas is present at the protest site along with his supporters.

    At the same time, four cattle died after coming under the grip of live wire in Godi village of Korba. Actually, the hunters had laid electric wire in the forest to hunt the animals. Carcasses of four cattle have been recovered near the wire. Presently the forest staff is probing the matter.

    Bemetara. Police have arrested the accused nephew, who attacked a woman with a sharp weapon in Pendrikala village of Bemetara district. Accused Kapil Turkane (45 years) had fatally attacked his aunt with a sword in mutual enmity. The case is of Than Khamaria police station area.

    According to information, nephew Kapil Turkane attacked his aunt Bhaga Bai (66 years) with a sword in village Pendrikala on May 29. The woman was injured after being attacked on the throat, however, timely treatment saved her life. After this the accused fled from the spot. After this, the family lodged a case in the police station. The police arrested the accused and presented him in the court on Tuesday, 30 May, from where he was sent to jail.

    Station Khamaria in-charge Pushpendra Bhatt told that there was a mutual enmity between the aunt and nephew. In fact, the family in which the daughter of the accused Kapil was married, was harassing her a lot and used to send her to her maternal home again and again. In such a situation, the aunt had mediated between her nephew’s daughter and her in-laws, whereas the accused did not want to do so. He did not want the daughter to live in such a house where she is tortured. Here, even after the mediation, the daughter of the accused continued to be harassed by her in-laws and left her at her maternal house.
