    Six seriously injured in collision between two trucks in Bhadrak district

    Bhadrak: At least six people sustained critical injuries after a collision between two trucks near Trisulpur chhak under Bhadrak rural police limits on Saturday.

    According to sources, a truck carrying chicks was heading from Bhubaneswar towards Kolkata lost control after the driver got sleepy for a moment and collided with another truck standing in another lane after crossing the divider. At least six people who were in the truck were critically injured due to the accident.

    The police has reached the spot and rushed the injured people to the nearby hospital in Bhadrak. All the severe injured people were reportedly residents of West Bengal.

    Two friends drowned in a pond in Bhadrak district

    Bhadrak: In a tragic incident, two boys, who are good friends, drowned in a newly dug pond in the Bhadrak district of Odisha on Saturday. The incident took place in Saanpur village in the Dakhinabada area under the Dhamnagar Police Station limit.

    The two deceased boys have been identified as Mukesh Giri and Kamala Lochana Barik. Mukesh had appeared in the Matric examination while Kamala was studying in plus two Class.

    As per reports, the two friends had gone to the newly dug pond on the roadside of Chilapadi to take bath when they slipped into deep water.

    After getting information from the villagers the fire services personnel rushed to the pond and fished out the two boys. They were then rushed to Dhamnagar Hospital. However, at the hospital, the doctors declared them dead.

    A pal of gloom has descended in the village following the death of the two boys.

    Youth dies due to lightning in Bhadrak district

    Bhadrak: In a tragic incident, a youth was killed after being stuck by lightning in Bhadrak district of Odisha on Tuesday. The incident took place in the Hatapada village under Arandua Panchayat in Basudevpur Block of the district.

    The deceased has been identified 35 year old Maheshwar Jena, the son of Makara Jena.

    As per reports, today afternoon when Maheswar was in the village it started to rain with thunderstorm and lightning. As it started to pour he was returning home when he was struck by lightning and fell on the ground.

    After some time, a few villagers reached there and took him to the Basudevpur hospital where the doctors declared him dead.

    A pal of gloom has descended in the village following the death of the youth.
