Satpura building caught fire or was set, Kamal Nath raised the question

Bhopal (IANS) | Former Chief Minister and State President of Congress Kamal Nath has raised a big question on the fire that broke out in Satpura Bhavan, one of the biggest government buildings of the state located in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. They say whether this fire has started or was set, it is a big question. Kamal Nath has said that “The fire in Satpura Bhawan is an example of corruption. Whether it was set on fire or not, it is a question. So far it has been said that 12 thousand files have been burnt, don’t know how many thousands of files have been burnt. What was his target? What was the objective? This is a huge corruption case and it should be thoroughly probed by an independent probe agency.”

When Kamal Nath was asked that there has been a fire earlier also and what should be the preparation from the government’s side for this, he replied that they have no preparation for anything, the only preparation is to make money.

It may be known that on Monday afternoon, there was a fire in the third floor of Satpura Bhavan and it reached the sixth floor as it progressed. Though the fire has been brought under control, it is still smoldering in some parts.

  • Congress’s special focus on Bundelkhand region in Madhya Pradesh

Congress’s special focus on Bundelkhand region in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal (IANS) | In the assembly elections to be held in Madhya Pradesh this year, the Congress has a special eye on one of its weakest areas, the Bundelkhand region. This is the reason why the activism of all the leaders of the party is increasing in this area. Bundelkhand is that region of the state, which has 29 seats out of 230 seats in the assembly. At present, BJP is in possession of 19 of these seats. Congress has MLAs in eight places and SP-BSP have one seat each. Overall, BJP is in a stronger position than Congress.

Congress used to have Satyavrat Chaturvedi as a strong leader in the Bundelkhand region, but after the 2018 assembly elections, he has completely distanced himself from politics. At present, Congress does not have any big face in this area. On the other hand, BJP state president Vishnu Dutt Sharma is the MP from this area while Prahlad Patel is a minister in the Modi government. Uma Bharti also comes from this region. Apart from this, five key ministers in the Shivraj government come from this locality.

Congress wants to gain an edge in the upcoming elections in this area, hence the activism of its leaders has increased. Former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh has visited those areas on which the Congress has been losing several times. He has also interacted with the workers. Former Union Minister Arun Yadav is also continuously active in this field. Yadav is a big face of the backward class and the number of his supporters is also considerable in this area. He has visited this area twice in the last one month and during this he held meetings and held talks with all the leaders.

The part of Madhya Pradesh consists of seven districts of the Bundelkhand region: Sagar, Damoh, Tikamgarh, Panna, Niwari, Chhatarpur and Datia. Even when the Congress came close to power in the 2018 assembly elections, it did not get much success in this area. This is the reason why Congress is keeping a special eye on this region to get maximum seats in the next elections.

  • Backward class status to transgenders in MP

Backward class status to transgenders in MP

Bhopal (IANS) | The Government of Madhya Pradesh has taken a big decision regarding transgenders, according to this decision transgenders have got the status of backward class.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. In this, approval was granted to include transgenders in Madhya Pradesh backward class list after number 93 in number 94. In this way, apart from reservation for backward classes of the government, transgenders will also get the benefit of the facilities given to this class.

The cabinet decided to implement Madhya Pradesh State Millet Mission Scheme in the state. The scheme will be implemented in all the districts through the Director, Farmers’ Welfare and Agriculture Development. The duration of the scheme will be of two years (2023-24 and 2024-25). In these two years, 23 crore 25 lakh rupees will be spent in the scheme. Improved certified seeds of coarse grains will be provided to the farmers on 80 percent subsidy from cooperative/government institutions. A state level committee will be constituted under the chairmanship of Agriculture Production Commissioner for monitoring the scheme.

It is notable that millet grain crops were once at the center of the state’s food and drink culture. At present, keeping in view the nutritional importance of these crops, it is necessary to promote them. These crops are often cultivated in less fertile areas. At present, the demand for millet crops is increasing due to increasing health awareness among the consumers. Crops like Kodo, Kutki, Ragi, Sawa are very beneficial from the point of view of health. In view of the importance of these millet crops, they have been given the status of nutritious grains. The grains of these crops are rich in iron, calcium, fiber etc. Along with this, the percentage of fat is also less in them, due to which their use by heart patients and diabetes patients has been found safe. Therefore, it is necessary to encourage the cultivation of millet crops among the farmers and to propagate the dishes prepared from millet crops.

There are ample possibilities of area expansion, productivity and production increase of Kodo-Kutki, Jowar and Ragi in Madhya Pradesh. Along with this, the potential for value addition in the growing market of millet crops is also very high. In government programs in the state, where food is arranged, a dish of coarse grains will also be kept. Arrangements will be made to use coarse grains in the hostels and mid-day meal once a week.
