Pulia wall collapses due to shoddy construction work: BJP

Nalgonda: BJP State executive member Kanmantha Reddy Sridevi Reddy said that the Udaya Samudra- Brahmin Vellama canal culvert wall collapsed due to shoddy construction work.

Sridevi’s team inspected the collapsed canal culvert walls at Dandampally and interacted with the officials.

She said, “the way the walls were washed away and fell into the canal in just one rain is a proof of the defects in the construction work. Fortunately, no casualty happened.”

She stated that the construction of the wall was not done according to standards; proper precautions were not taken while laying the pipes of Mission Bhagiratha and the use of soil of bund of culvert for immersion during the last Vinayaka Chavithi by the municipality also damaged the strength of the culvert.

In view of the upcoming elections, the trial run of Brahmin Vellemla project was hastily done without considering the strength of walls of the canal is an example of the careless attitude of the KCR government.

She said that BRS in the name of development of Nalgonda town and constituency, the government is deceiving people by doing few main road works of the town and by ignoring rural development.

BJP leader Kanmantha Reddy Ramesh Reddy, BJP OBC Morcha district president Konda Bhavani Prasad, general secretary Yadagiri, SC Morcha district general secretary Baki Narsimha, BJYM town president Prasad, Mahesh and others were present.

13 Days Since Salooni Murder, Cong Govt Yet To Meet Victim’s Family: BJP’s Jai Ram Thakur

The BJP in Himachal Pradesh on Monday hit out at the Congress government over the gruesome killing of a man in the Chamba district and alleged that its wrong policies have led to a collapse of law and order in the state.

It has been 13 days since the murder but no government representative has visited the family of the victim, Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur said.

Reiterating the party’s demand for a National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe in the case, Thakur said if such heinous crimes continue, the BJP would not sit quietly.

The people voted for Congress to bring change and not for appeasement of a particular community and “we are with the family of the victim in this war for justice”, the BJP leader said in a statement.

“We were stopped from meeting the family of the victim and by making allegations against those demanding justice for the victim, the government is siding with the accused,” he alleged.

Tension prevailed in the Salooni town of Chamba last Thursday when a mob burned down the house of a man, identified as Musafir Hussain, who has been accused of killing 28-year-old Manohar over an affair with his niece and chopping his body into pieces.

Thakur added that due to the wrong policies of the Congress government, law and order has collapsed and police officers are making political statements.

The Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu-led government is wreaking vengeance and has failed to fulfil the guarantees given by the Congress during the assembly polls, he said.

Thakur claimed that the BJP would win all four Lok Sabha seats in Himachal Pradesh in 2024 and Narendra Modi would be the prime minister for a third time.

State BJP chief Dr. Rajiv Bindal also accused the Congress government of not fulfilling the party’s poll promises.

The people will support the BJP in the Lok Sabha polls, he said, addressing a meeting at Chopal in Shimla district to mark the completion of nine years of the Modi government.

  • BJP state vice president appealed to the officials to postpone the date of reopening of the school

BJP state vice president appealed to the officials to postpone the date of reopening of the school

Visakhapatnam: Keeping the severe heat wave conditions prevailing in Visakhapatnam, BJP state vice president Penmetsa Vishnu Kumar Raju appealed to the district administration to put off the school reopening date for another week or 10 days.

It may be recalled that the schools in the city were scheduled to be reopened on June 12.

Referring to the climatic condition in recent days, the BJP leader said many were already suffering from heat stroke and it would be worse for the students if they get exposed to such heat wave conditions. “As a majority of government and private schools fail to maintain clean washrooms, several students, girl children in particular, refuse to drink water in order to avoid usage of toilets. In such a scenario, it would pose a risk for the students to attend school. Also, there is a scope for dehydration and in some cases, casualties too due to extreme heat,” reasoned the BJP state vice president for requesting the concerned authorities to postpone the school reopening date.

Further, he suggested the decision makers step out of their air conditioned cabins to get a clear picture of the heat wave condition prevailing in the city and consider appropriate decision before reopening the schools.

BRS government delaying rail project: BJP

Warangal: The BRS government has been intentionally delaying the land allocation to the proposed periodic overhauling (POH) unit of the Railways at Ayodhyapuram village near Kazipet, BJP Hanumakonda district president Rao Padma said. The BJP leaders led by Rao Padma on Thursday visited the POH site and the prototype model of the unit.

Speaking to the media persons, she found fault with the State government for delaying the project which could provide employment to at least 7,000 people. “The State Government which acquired 150 acres and handed it over to the Railways needs to complete the land acquisition process for another 10.17 acres,” Rao Padma said. She demanded the Warangal West MLA and Chief Whip D Vinay Bhaskar to take proactive steps to allocate the remaining land.

The delay clearly indicates that the State was against the establishment of POH as the credit goes to the Centre, Rao Padma said. The Centre is committed to the development of Railways in Kazipet and it requires State’s support, she said.

Rao Padma accused the BRS Government of closing some industries such as the tyre retreading unit of the RTC to allot their land to its leaders. BJP leaders Chirra Narsing Goud, Gunti Kumaraswamy, Chand Pasha, Bhagavan Upadhyaya and G Srikanth were among others present.
