Odisha Minister Naba Das Murder: CB Chargesheet Full Of Lies To Suppress Truth, Says BJP

Bhubaneswar: Soon after Odisha Crime Branch submitted the chargesheet in the sensational murder of Health Minister Naba Kishore Das, the BJP termed it a document full of lies to suppress the deep-rooted conspiracy.

Speaking to media persons on Friday, senior BJP leader Prithviraj Harichandan said the chargesheet has several loopholes which would be known in the court.

“First of all, the cause of murder has not been mentioned clearly in the chargesheet. While the murder has been attributed to past enmity by the Crime Branch, it has failed to mention why the minister and his followers wanted to harm the ASI,” he said.

“The chargesheet is full of lies. The first objectionable question would be what fear led Gopal to take such an extremely illegal step. Secondly, Gopal is not a common man nor a criminal. He is a person of stable mindset holding an officer post which his department must have certified. Even the Crime Branch has mention it in the chargesheet. In that case, what was the reason that led the accused to take such a big step? The document is silent on it,” the BJP leader said.

Moreover, the chargesheet further mentions that Gopal had prior enmity and personal grudge against Naba Das and it was a preplanned murder. But the Crime Branch does not mention when he planned it, he added.

“The Crime Branch has mentioned that Gopal’s mental condition is normal and he is a stable person. In that case, why a person of sound mental condition would take such a step putting his career and the future of his family at stake? The investigation has failed to strongly establish it,” Harichandan said.

Since all these facts have not been looked into or mentioned in the chargesheet, the Crime Branch has been successful in hiding the truth behind the murder and suppress the entire matter, he alleged.

“The government has been successful in writing a well scripted story through the Crime Branch to prevent the truth to come out. It is only a drama by the government to protect the people behind the real incident. It seems utltimately the government will succeed in its attempt to let Gopal Das set free by the court for lack of substantial evidence,” the BJP leader said.

Earlier in the day, the Crime Branch submitted a 543-page preliminary chargesheet in the case in Jharsuguda JMFC Court nearly four months after the sensational murder.

Car rider BJP leader narrowly escaped, vehicle ran into field due to bus

Meanwhile, BJP leader Leeladhar Sultania from the front was going home from Janjgir side by car. Here to avoid the uncontrollable bus, the driver of the car turned the steering of the car towards the field and then the car landed in the field.

In this way a major incident was averted, otherwise a major incident could have happened due to the carelessness of the driver of the bus. The speed of the bus was very fast and a large number of passengers were also boarding the bus. Due to the speed, the bus could have overturned. It was a matter of relief, nothing untoward happened.

After avoiding the accident in Banari, the speed of the bus did not reduce and the driver ran away from the spot with the bus. New Parliament House controversy: Akhilesh said, ‘BJP has accepted that now the time has come to hand over power’

Lucknow (IANS) | There has been a continuous political ruckus regarding the inauguration of the new Parliament House. Meanwhile, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has again commented on this issue. Said that the BJP has accepted that the time has come to hand over the power.

Former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav posted a picture on his tweet table saying that Sengol is a symbol of transfer of power (from one hand to another). The BJP seems to have accepted that the time has come to hand over the power.

Earlier, he had written that the true parliamentary tradition is to give equal opportunity to everyone to hear and understand, not by the ostentatious inauguration of Parliament by the BJP people, but by understanding the basic spirit of the verses written there. Where there is pride of power but there is no respect for the opposition, it cannot be a true parliament, what is the point in its inauguration.

SP leader Swami Prasad Maurya raised questions regarding the installation of Sengol in the new Parliament House. He described Sengol as the symbol of monarchy. It is said that India is a democratic country, in such a situation, what will be the work of Sengol in the Parliament of the country.

He tweeted that the Sengol scepter was a symbol of monarchy. Today there is democracy in the country, what is the use of Sengol, the symbol of monarchy in a democracy? BJP government’s craze towards Sengol is proof that it does not believe in democracy, so BJP is moving away from democracy to monarchy, which is a danger bell for democracy.

Significantly, questions are being raised on not inviting the President to the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament House. Leaders say that instead of inaugurating the building by Draupadi Murmu, PM Modi is an insult to the President. That’s why one after the other political parties are boycotting the function.

  • BJP bid- next time when our government is formed in Jharkhand, mini NRC in Santhal Pargana

BJP bid- next time when our government is formed in Jharkhand, mini NRC in Santhal Pargana

Ranchi (IANS) | The BJP has attacked the state government over Bangladeshi infiltration in Jharkhand. Two former chief ministers of the state, Babulal Marandi and Raghuvar Das, have even demanded their resignation, holding the present government responsible for this.

Former Jharkhand Chief Minister and BJP Legislature Party leader Babulal Marandi while talking to the media in Pakur on Saturday said that if the BJP government is formed in the state in the year 2024, Mini NRC (National Register of Citizenship) will be implemented in Santhal Pargana division. Due to the infiltration of Bangladeshis in five districts of this division, the demography itself has changed. This is a very worrying situation.

He said that he has been raising this issue for years. There are countless cases of intrusion. There are proofs of this. But the present government of the state is giving fuel to the infiltrators. Due to the greed of vote bank, infiltrators are being given a free hand. In the coming days, the demographic balance of the entire state will deteriorate. Getting mini NRC done in Santhal Pargana is the only solution to this problem. From this it came to know who will come and settle among the people living here. Marandi said that now the court has also asked questions to the government on this issue.

Marandi has also tweeted on this issue, the problem of infiltration in Jharkhand is taking a very formidable form. Demographic change is taking place in the entire area of Santal Pargana. Bangladeshi infiltrators are being made local residents. Because of this, a deep crisis is looming over the existence of Santal, Paharia tribals. People who put their political interests above the security of the nation and their caste-society, remember, Bangladeshi infiltrators will be selectively thrown out of the border as soon as the BJP comes to power.

Here, BJP’s National Vice President and former Chief Minister Raghuvar Das has also said that Hemant Soren’s party JMM patronized Bangladeshi infiltration with the help of PFI to increase the base in Santhal. I had said that love and land jihad is going on in Santhal. After the High Court’s comment, the Chief Minister should resign from his post.

BJP alleges large scale illegal mining in Nizamabad village

Nizamabad : Alleging that large scale illegal quarrying activities are going on without environment permits in Battapur village under Ergatla mandal in the district for last seven months, BJP on Friday demanded the authorities to take action against the erring company.

BJP leader Mallikarjuna Reddy filed a complaint in this regard with District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanmanthu on Friday.

Speaking to reporters on this occasion, he explained that Geo Stone Industries, which was leased this quarry, had taken permission only to extract 10,000 cubic meters. He alleged that still more than 12 lakh cubic meters were excavated and transported for commercial purposes, even without environmental permits.

Mallikarjuna Reddy explained to the Collector that there is no permission to run the crusher till November 2021. But today extraction is going on from the quarry.

He alleged that Minister Prashanth Reddy was involved in this quarry scam. Heavy vehicles are used for large scale cargo from quarry to crusher and from crusher to open market. Only dirt roads should be constructed in reserve forest.

He said that a gravel road was laid in the reserve forest in violation of the rules. He questioned whether it is not true that Minister Prashant Reddy transferred the range officer who came to examine this within 24 hours.

He said that this quarry is not paying the current electricity bills up to 50 lakh and if the bill payment is pending, what are the authorities doing?

He said that a complaint was made to the Director of Mines Department in Hyderabad about six months ago.

He said that the District Collector should respond and conduct a survey as soon as possible to find out the facts, otherwise large-scale agitations will be launched under the leadership of the BJP. District vice president Nimmala Srinivas, BJP mandal presidents Narayana Reddy, Mahipal, Sanjeev and a large number of Battapur villagers participated in this meeting.

  • Maharia joins BJP in Rajasthan, says Congress govt didn’t fulfil poll promises

Maharia joins BJP in Rajasthan, says Congress govt didn’t fulfil poll promises

JAIPUR: Congress leader and former Union minister Subhash Maharia joined the BJP here on Friday and said the Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot-led Rajasthan government has failed to fulfil its promises, while corruption has grown under it.

Besides Maharia, retired IPS officer Ramdev Singh Khariwa, retired IAS officer P R Meena, retired IPS officers Gopal Meena, Narsi Kirad and Hemant Sharma joined the BJP at the party headquarters here. Maharia, who was in the BJP before he joined the Congress, said he was happy to have returned to his family.

”We will create history in the 2023 (Rajasthan) assembly elections and the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. We will make efforts to increase the BJP’s vote percentage by 20 per cent in the Sikar region,” he said.

He added he will fulfil whatever responsibility the party gives him.

Hitting out at the Rajasthan government, Maharia said the Congress has failed to implement its poll promises and corruption has grown under its rule.

BJP’s Rajasthan in-charge Arun Singh said corruption is at its peak, law and order has deteriorated in Rajasthan and people are fed up with the state government, which is why various prominent leaders of the Congress are joining the BJP.

”People are fighting against each other in the Congress and people are fed up. Its leaders are accepting the BJP’s ideology,” he said.

Maharia was elected to the Lok Sabha in 1998, 1999 and 2004. After he faced defeat in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP did not give him a ticket in 2014. In the 2019 general elections, he contested against the BJP on a Congress ticket.

A prominent Jat leader, Maharia was a minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government. He also served as the national vice president of the BJP’s Kisan Morcha.

  • Difference Of Opinion In Kerala’s Ruling CPI(M) On Congress Role In Fight Against BJP

Difference Of Opinion In Kerala’s Ruling CPI(M) On Congress Role In Fight Against BJP

In the wake of Congress emerging victorious in Karnataka Assembly polls, there appears to be a difference of opinion in the ruling CPI(M) in Kerala over the role the grand old party should play to defeat the BJP in the 2024 general elections.

While Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and CPI(M) state secretary M V Govindan expressed the view that the Congress was weak in several parts of the country and cannot take up the fight against BJP on its own, state Fisheries Minister Saji Cheriyan said the grand old party should lead from the front.

Vijayan, after inaugurating a public meeting at Guruvayoor in Thrissur district organised by the LDF as part of its second anniversary celebrations, said the Congress should realise that it is not as strong as it was in the past and batted for a “statewise” strategy of uniting anti-BJP forces to take on the saffron party.

“We should work according to the changing scenario on the ground and the Congress needs to realise that. It needs to realise that is not the same Congress that was in power in the country for several years. It is weak in several parts of the country.

“Therefore, the practical strategy for completely defeating the BJP in the country is to unite all the groups which are against the saffron party in a state and counter the BJP state-wise,” he said at the event on Sunday.

A similar view was echoed by Govindan a day ago when he said the Karnataka poll results do not indicate a comeback of the Congress and that the grand old party cannot free India of BJP on its own. “Even they (Congress) do not lay claim to that,” he had said.

On Sunday, Cheriyan said that Congress is one of the strongest parties in India and there was nothing wrong with asking them to come forward in the fight against BJP.

“Let them lead from the front,” he said and at the same time added that he does not agree with the Congress’ stand on various issues in Kerala.

“However, to ensure secularism in the country, they need to be at the forefront. There is no argument on that,” he told reporters.

In the May 10 Karnataka Assembly polls, the Congress won 135 of the total 224 seats, while the BJP and the former prime minister H D Deve Gowda-led Janata Dal (Secular) secured 66 and 19 seats, respectively.

  • No impact of Karnataka poll results on BJP’s prospects in Telangana: Bandi Sanjay

No impact of Karnataka poll results on BJP’s prospects in Telangana: Bandi Sanjay

Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party State president Bandi Sanjay said Karnataka Assembly election results would not have any impact on the prospects of his party in the upcoming polls to Telangana State assembly later this year.

Commenting on Karnataka poll results here on Saturday, Sanjay said the situation and issues in Karnataka were different, hence comparing it with Telangana was not correct. “We lost in Karnataka. That doesn’t mean that we will be losing in Telangana too. BJP is going to come to power in the State,” he claimed.

He said the State Congress leaders dream to come to power in Telangana would never come true as the people would never accept them. “Congress indulged in communal politics to get the votes of minorities in Karnataka. The same thing is not going to happen in Telangana. Congress’ plan to polarise the poll will not work here. They will be pushed to third position,” he said.

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) would be joining hands with Congress, Communists, AIMIM and other parties in the upcoming assembly polls to the State to defeat BJP, he alleged. “I am not saying this. Congress leaders are saying. We are not worried about this as people are with BJP. We have won four Lok Sabha seats and three assembly seats. Our vote percentage has been increasing since 2014. This time we are expecting to come to power,” he said.
