    Korba. There is news of a fierce fire in the commercial complex of the Municipal Corporation located in Transport Nagar, the busiest area of the city. It is being told that about eight shops in the commercial complex have been gutted in the grip of fire. The complex is located near the bus stand, while the press complex is located just behind it. As soon as the fire broke out in the crowded area, there was chaos among the people.

    According to the information, fire brigade vehicles of industrial institutions including city army are trying to control the fire. Firefighters are trying to douse the fire as well as rescue people trapped in the complex. IBC24 correspondent told that some people jumped from a height to save themselves from the fire, in this attempt a woman’s leg was also fractured. However, in the pictures that have come out, it can be seen that the entire complex is burning in flames. Property worth crores is feared to be burnt in this incident of arson. However, it is not known what caused the fire.

    New Delhi (IANS) | Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday expressed grief over the tragedy, a day after 11 people, including three children, died after allegedly inhaling poisonous gas in Ludhiana’s Giaspura area.
    He also expressed grief over the incident of building collapse in Bhiwandi two days back on April 29, in which eight people have died. Modi on Monday announced ex-gratia for the dead and injured in both the incidents.


    The PMO tweeted, “Expressing grief over the tragedy caused by the gas leak in Ludhiana, PM @narendramodi has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh from PMNRF for the next of kin of each of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured. “


    In a separate tweet, the PMO said, “Shocked by the tragedy in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra. Condolences to the bereaved families and prayers for the injured. Rs 2 lakh ex-gratia from PMNRF to the next of kin of each of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to the injured.” will be given.”
    In the Ludhiana incident, apart from the 11 people who died in the incident, four people fell ill and are undergoing treatment. His condition is still critical. Residents were evacuated after the incident and a team of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) was rushed to the spot.
    The NDRF team detected high levels of hydrogen sulphide in the area. The report said that preliminary investigation suggests that some chemicals from an industrial unit were accidentally dumped into the civil sewage line. A magisterial inquiry has been ordered into the incident and a case under section 304 has been registered against unknown persons.


    Meanwhile, the death toll in the Bhiwandi building collapse incident rose to eight on Monday as the search and rescue operation continued for the third day, the NDRF said in an official statement. A three-storey building collapsed in Bhiwandi area of Thane district of Maharashtra on Saturday afternoon.

    Carpenter falls to his death from 11th floor of building

    Indore : A carpenter died after falling from the 11th floor of a residential building in the Tukoganj police station jurisdiction on Sunday afternoon. He was working in a flat when he lost balance and fell from the height. The police have sent the body for the autopsy and informed his family members about the incident.

    Investigating officer ASI Rakesh Kumar Parihar from the Tukoganj police station said that the deceased has been identified as Jogaram (27), a resident of Rajasthan. He was a carpenter and was making furniture in a flat on the 11th floor in Kalpataru Building.

    According to Parihar, Jogaram was sitting near the edge of the balcony when he lost control due to a sudden gust of wind and fell down. He died on the spot. The residents informed the police.

    Police said the deceased had recently come to the city. Investigation is on to know the exact circumstances behind the incident and the CCTVs of the area being examined by the police.
