    Businessman from Metpalli ends life in Hyderabad

    Jagtial: Upset over cheating done by his worker, a businessman from Metpalli committed suicide in Hyderabad on Wednesday. Sabbani Naresh ended his life by hanging himself from the ceiling in a room in Metpalli.

    Naresh explained the reasons for his decision in a selfie video which was recorded by him before taking an extreme step.

    Naresh is running a two wheeler showroom in Kathalapur mandal headquarters wherein one Pratap is working during the last few years. Lucky draw schemes have also been operated in the showroom.

    Naresh, in his selfie video, alleged that Pratap, who collected money from the customers, denied bikes to customers who won vehicles in draw of lots.

    Informing that Pratap had collected Rs 1.90 crore from the customer, Naresh said that he has no idea how many customers were handed over bikes. Though he was running a showroom, the entire transactions were done in the name of Pratap since bank accounts were there in the name of Pratap.

    Besides blaming him, Pratap made false propaganda against him stating that he was incurred into debts and going to put IP. Pratap agreed to come to the lawyer within four days to settle accounts. However, he had not turned out even after one month.

    He was unable to visit his native place because of false propaganda made against him by Pratap. So, he has decided to end life.

    The police have arrested a married couple for allegedly blackmailing a businessman after honey-trapping him. The suspects had extorted around Rs 1.75 crore from the victim, the police said.

    Sube Singh, a spokesperson of the Police Department, said the accused have been identified as Rakshit and his wife Isha, both hailing from Noida in UP.

    According to a complaint lodged at the Sector 7 police station, Isha was a school classmate of the victim and had contacted him through Facebook during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021.

    The accused allegedly made consensual physical relations with the victim after a meeting. According to the complainant, the woman, who had been working at a beauty salon, asked him to give her Rs 20 lakh for setting up her own business. Later, her husband demanded another Rs 20 lakh and threatened to file a rape case against him. In this manner, the couple allegedly extorted over Rs 1.5 crore from him in the past two years.

    Allegedly, the money was demanded from the victim through WhatsApp. The victim filed a complaint with the police after the couple demanded Rs 5 crore as a final instalment to settle the matter.

    The couple was arrested after they reached the office of the victim on Sunday and assaulted him after threatening to lodge a rape case. The couple was sent to police remand until May 31, said SHO Naveen Kumar.

    Odisha: Businessman falls into prey of online fraud, loses Rs 95,000

    Jajpur: A businessman reportedly lost Rs 95,000 after falling into the prey of online fraud in Odisha’s Jajpur district. The victim has been identified as Ayaskant Roy of Dubagadia village of the district.

    According to Ayaskant, someone withdrew Rs 95,000 from his State Bank of India (SBI) account in eight phases between April 18 and May 4.

    However, Ayaskant knew about it only recently following which he informed the officials of the Jaraka branch of the SBI and filed a police complaint at the Bhubaneswar-based Cyber Police Station.

    Ayaskant said that the money has been withdrawn by using the debit card but shockingly he did not receive any message or OTP in this regard. What surprised him the most was that the debit card was with him but how the unknown person used it to withdraw cash from his account.

    Puri: A businessman was attacked with sword and so sustained critical injury in Puri of Odisha today. The incident took place in the Masanichandi chowk of the holy town.

    The victim has been identified as Manoranjan Patnaik. The accused has been identified as Tuna Barik.

    As per reports, the brother in law (sister’s husband) allegedly attacked the businessman with sword. Today evening when the Businessman was returning home after closing his shop Tuna attacked him with sword.

    He was then rushed to the Puri Head quarter hospital in a critical condition. After getting information Baseli Sahi Police reached the spot and started investigation.

    A young businessman of a firm in Jamjodhpur marketing yard of Jamnagar district was going on his bike after withdrawing 20 lakh cash from HDFC Bank on the afternoon of last 14th, when two people riding a bike looted a bag full of cash worth lakhs. In this incident of robbery, the LCB team arrested one person from Surat and Lalpur along with Rs 18,50,000 in cash, bike and mobile phone and is busy nabbing other robbers.

    The businessman left the bank with Rs 20 lakh in cash, the robbers attacked

    According to the information, a businessman named Pravinbhai Ramoliya, owner of Yamuna Trading Firm in Jamjodhpur Marketing Yard, was spending Rs 20 lakh on a bike after taking Rs 20 lakh from HDFC Bank on the last 14th. Meanwhile, as soon as they reached the main gate of the yard, two unknown people riding a bike looted a bag full of cash worth lakhs in the blink of an eye and ran away. The Jamjodhpur police had cordoned off the district regarding this incident. Following an order issued by Superintendent of Police Premsukh Delu to crack the robbery case, PI J.V. Chowdhary, PSI S.P. Gohil, P.M. Mori, and by forming separate teams of LCB-SOG and parole furlough and Jamjodhpur police started investigation in Jamjodhpur, Upleta, Jetpur-Gondal, Surat, Dhoraji, Jamkandorna. Meanwhile, with the help of technical cell and human resources, it was found that the FZ bike used in the incident was stolen from Khatodara in Surat.

    Police has seized the goods from the accused

    Six cases are registered against Narsi Raoji Khandhar in Barwa of Madhya Pradesh, Khatodara in Surat, Bhanwad, Lalpur, Udaynagar Dewas and Khargone. While a case has been registered against Dilip alias Munno Vitthal Kanjia at Bhimangaon police station in Madhya Pradesh. The LCB team has intensified efforts to trace Dilip alias Munno Vithal Kanjia, employed with Tirupati Traders, Jamjodhpur Yard, and Narshi Raoji Khandhar, resident of Nani Rafudad village, Lalpur taluka. The LCB team has recovered a total of Rs 18,82,000 from Dastgir and Dhawal, which includes Rs 18,50,000 in cash, a stolen bike worth Rs 25,000 and two mobile phones worth Rs 7,000.
