The way for the construction of Gems-Jewellery Park in Raipur is clear

The way has been cleared for the establishment of the proposed ‘Gems and Jewelery Park’ in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. The Chhattisgarh High Court has dismissed the petition filed against this park as baseless. In the year 2020, a petition was filed by former MLA Devji Bhai Patel in the Bilaspur-based High Court, in which he called the ‘James and Jewelery Park’ by the Chhattisgarh government. The allotment of agricultural produce market land at Pandatarai in Raipur was challenged for the purpose. The High Court had issued a stay order in the matter.

While removing the stay order during the hearing on Tuesday, the High Court termed the petition as baseless and dismissed it. Advocate General Satish Chandra Verma, Additional Advocate General Chandresh Srivastava and Deputy Government Advocate Vikram Sharma presented the case on behalf of the government. With the dismissal of the petition, the hurdle in setting up the ‘Gems and Jewelery Park’ of the government has been removed.
