    Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel launched Unemployment Allowance Scheme in Chhattisgarh on 1 April. Under the scheme, unemployment allowance has been approved to 30 thousand applicants within 20 days. Under the scheme, so far 91,049 applications have been received on the unemployment allowance portal and out of these, after document verification, 57,207 people have been recommended for approval of unemployment allowance. According to the announcement of Chief Minister Baghel, the amount of unemployment allowance of Rs 2,500 is being transferred directly to the bank account of the applicants through DBT. The objective of the scheme is to provide an allowance of Rs 2,500 per month to the unemployed and make them employable by giving them skill training.
    It is worth mentioning that on the very first day of the launch of Berojgari Bhatta Yojana, on April 1, at 5 pm, 4269 registrations were received in this portal. The youth say that the help of Rs 2500 per month from the state government will be very helpful in solving the financial difficulties coming in the way of making their career. During the launch program of the scheme, the beneficiaries who got the unemployment allowance approval order from the hands of the Chief Minister were looking very happy, they had applied for unemployment allowance on April 1 itself and their application was also approved on the same day. It is worth mentioning that the scheme implemented at present is much more successful than the unemployment allowance scheme operated earlier.     The applicant of Berojgari Bhatta Yojana must be a native of Chhattisgarh. The age of the applicant should be between 18 to 35 years as on 1st April of the year of applying for the scheme. The applicant must have passed at least Higher Secondary i.e. 12th standard from a recognized board. Along with this, should be registered in any district employment and self-employment guidance center of Chhattisgarh and his employment registration should be at least two years old with Higher Secondary or above qualification as on 1st April of the year of application. The applicant should not have any source of income of his own and the annual income of the applicant’s family from all sources should not exceed Rs.2.50 lakh. Income certificate issued by Tehsildar or higher revenue officer for family income should be made within 1 year from the date of application for unemployment allowance.
