On 15.04.2023 at 07.00 am, the employee of the applicant’s house called the applicant and told that the door of his daughter’s room and store room was open, the goods were scattered inside, the almirah was broken, then the applicant along with his daughter and the driver When he returned from Rengakhar to his home in Raipur, he saw that the latch of the roof door of the house was broken and his daughter and the store room door were open, the goods were scattered, the almirah was broken and gold sandalwood necklace kept in the almirah’s locker. , gold chain, bangle, diamond ring, platinum ring, platinum ear tops, other gold ornaments and no cash. An unknown thief had entered the house of the applicant by breaking the latch of the terrace door and stole the said Mashruka and fled away. On which crime number 146/2023 section 380, 457 Bhadvi was registered against unknown accused in police station Khamardih. Offense was registered.
On which, under the direction of senior officers, a joint team of Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and Thana Khamhardih Police started tracing the unknown accused by making detailed inquiries from the applicant, her daughter and the people around the incident. Along with inspection of the incident site by the team members, the CCTV cameras installed at the incident site and its surroundings. Along with observing the camera footage, informers were also engaged in the case to trace the unknown accused. The employees working in the applicant’s house were also interrogated separately in relation to the incident and their statements were recorded. On the basis of incident, efforts were being made to identify the unknown accused even after verifying the old accused of theft and keeping a constant watch on their activities. Meanwhile, the team members came to know that D. Ravi Rao, a resident of Jalvihar Colony, Shyam Nagar Telibandha, keeps a large amount of cash with him and is also spending a lot of money, on which the team members told D. Ravi Rao. On being caught and interrogated regarding the incident, the team members were constantly being misled by saying that he was not involved in the crime in any way, that on the basis of the evidence received, D. Ravi Rao was strictly questioned in connection with the incident. On doing so, he was told to carry out the said incident of theft.
On which the accused was arrested and action was taken against the accused by seizing a total of 24 tolas of stolen gold and diamond studded platinum jewelery and a cash amount of Rs. The accused has been told to sell some stolen gold jewelery to passers-by in Orissa and to throw away some platinum jewelery thinking it to be fake, as well as to buy a house in Shyam Nagar Telibandha with the stolen money. The accused has been jailed earlier also in the case of theft from the state of Andhra Pradesh.
