IPS Nikhil Rakhecha busted a big sex racket last Monday night at Essence The Spa Center operated in Surya Mall of the city. In this action, 8 customers including the spa owner have been arrested. Eight girls from Balaghat, Assam, Nagaland and West Bengal were also found on the occasion. Those arrested include city doctors to businessmen. The police have registered a case against the accused under sections 3, 4, 5, 7 of the Immoral Prostitution Act. The spa center has been sealed. In the press conference, SP Dr. Abhishek Pallav said that flesh trade was going on in a big way in the Smriti Nagar Chowki area of Supela police station under the guise of a spa center. Bhilai Nagar CSP IPS Nikhil Rakhecha along with the civil team reached Essence The Spa at 5.30 pm on Monday. Eight accused were caught red handed there. On seeing the police, Farid Nagar Noori Masjid Ward-8 resident Spa Director Shariq Khan’s father Ashiq Khan fled from the spot. The police chased him, caught him and brought him back to the spa. The accused arrested by the police include Amit Singh Thakur, Jai Tank, Nivesh Jain, Deepak Agarwal, Surendra Kumar Gupta, Neeraj Singh Rajput, Kamaljit Chelak and Dev Prakash.
