A fire broke out late night in a hotel located near village Chirpota Pulia of Lavan police station area, 10 km from Balodabazar. Cylinder leakage is said to be the cause of the fire. On the other hand, the second incident is of village Gitkera under Palari police station area. A house caught fire here. The fire spread so fast that it engulfed the adjacent house as well.

    In this arson, a person Devcharan Verma got scorched while saving his bullock. And a bull died in the arson. The team of Fire Department Balodabazar reached the spot and controlled the fire. But by then a lot of damage had already been done. It is not known how the house caught fire. On the other hand, the injured person is undergoing treatment at the Community Health Center in Palari. Police is investigating both the cases. The fire brigade has brought the fire under control at both the places.

    Raigarh. Engineer working in NTPC Lara died after falling from the bridge. The engineer along with his friends was going to attend the marriage ceremony of another friend. He overtook the friends while driving at high speed and fell off the bridge on the way, dying on the spot. The dead body of the engineer was found the next day on Tilga Loing Road. On the information of the accident, the police have taken the matter into consideration by establishing a marg. Ajay Kumar Lahre (35) was originally a resident of Korba. He was working as an Impact Assistant Engineer in NTPC Lara, Raigarh. There was a marriage ceremony of his friend in Banora. To join the procession, Ajay Kumar left for Chakradhar Nagar Chowk at night with other friends working in the plant.

    Ajay Kumar was alone in his bike while his friends were in different vehicles. Ajay speeding his bike overtook his other friends and fell down from the bridge along with the bike near Loing. He died on the spot due to serious injuries. All the friends were very happy about the marriage. After crossing Pandripani and reaching Loing Marg, they realized that Ajay had not been seen for a long time. In such a situation, he called Ajay on mobile but Ajay did not receive the call. Friends kept searching for Ajay throughout the night. Around morning the villagers of the village reached near the bridge and saw Ajay’s dead body. Police were informed about this. Meanwhile, Ajay’s friends came to know about the dead body of a young man found under the bridge. On visiting the spot, it was found that Ajay Kumar was a victim of the accident. At present, the police have handed over the dead body to his relatives after the post-mortem. The matter is being further discussed.
