Opposition parties will find a solution to the coordination and opposition between the state level politics in Patna meeting

Patna (IANS) | Everyone’s eye is on the meeting of opposition parties to be held on June 23 in Patna, the capital of Bihar. Leaders of more than 15 opposition parties are expected to attend the meeting called by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

It is said that in this meeting, further strategy will be chalked out to free the BJP from power. But, the Prime Ministerial candidate will not be discussed. In the meeting, opposition parties will also try to find a solution to the coordination and opposition between the state level politics.

Sources say that any issue in the agenda of the meeting is being taken forward on a whim, so that there is no scope for any kind of dispute. In true sense, the main agenda of this meeting is to try to coordinate all the opposition parties.

Sources say that almost all the parties participating in the meeting have been showing bitterness from one or the other party, in such a situation, questions are also being raised about the solidarity of this meeting.

In this meeting, the leaders of the opposition parties will try to decide the initial outline of the common minimum programme. All parties have already indicated a joint landing. In such a situation, it is decided that there will be no discussion on leadership in the meeting.

It is also believed that in the meeting Mamta Banerjee will question the closeness of the Left parties to the Congress in West Bengal. So, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal would like to know the unity formula amid conflicting relations with the Congress in Punjab. In such a situation, all the parties will try to find a formula after thinking deeply.

Apart from this, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s ‘one for one’ formula for 2024 is also likely to be discussed in the meeting. Under this formula, there is a suggestion of fielding only one opposition candidate against the BJP on each seat. Apart from this, there is no contradiction in the opposition camp on issues like inflation, unemployment, economic mismanagement, demonetisation, damage caused by flawed GST.

The opposition has been besieging the ruling party in the past also regarding the growing atmosphere of hatred in the country, the misuse of government agencies, the efforts being made to weaken democracy, in such a situation it is certain that there should be a discussion on making all these issues more sharp. Far from becoming the PM of Nitish, there is a crisis even if he remains the CM of Bihar: Prashant Kishor

Patna (IANS) | Prashant Kishor, founder of ‘Jan Suraj’ and well-known election strategist, took a strong dig at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday. He said that “far from becoming the PM of Nitish, there is a crisis even if he remains the CM of Bihar”.

Taking a jibe at CM Nitish Kumar, he also said that “RJD is the largest party in the ruling coalition after the 2020 elections and not JDU”.

Prashant Kishor further said that “Bihar is not a fiefdom of Nitish Kumar, who has to make his face, make him”.

He also said that “I do not hear the discussion of Nitish Kumar becoming the Prime Minister anywhere.” His credibility has become such in today’s date that far from his becoming the PM, there is a crisis even if he remains the CM of Bihar.

  • Congress, CPI(M) raised questions on calling Trinamool in the meeting of opposition parties on June 12

Congress, CPI(M) raised questions on calling Trinamool in the meeting of opposition parties on June 12

Kolkata (IANS) | Leaders of all major opposition parties of the country will attend an important meeting called by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Patna on June 12. But the Congress and the Left Front in West Bengal have questioned the propriety of inviting the Trinamool Congress to that meeting. State Congress President in West Bengal Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury went a step ahead and claimed that whatever the outcome of the June 12 meeting, the Congress would continue to oppose the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal.

He said, our movement in West Bengal is against BJP and Trinamool Congress and it will continue. The Trinamool Congress is actually a pawn of the BJP to create a rift in the opposition alliance.

CPI(M) Central Committee member Sujan Chakraborty said though it is a good initiative to unite all opposition forces against the BJP, the question is whether the Trinamool Congress can be trusted.

He said, Trinamool Congress indirectly helped BJP in the elections of President and Vice President of India. In times of crisis, the Trinamool Congress has always secretly supported Prime Minister Modi.

CPI(M) Rajya Sabha member and Calcutta High Court senior advocate Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya said there is a need for a grand alliance and only those political forces which oppose the BJP should be included in it.

The BJP will always try to destroy the opposition front from within, he said. In such a situation, involving Trinamool Congress will not be a good move. Rather, the model of mutual understanding between the Left Front and the Congress in West Bengal should be followed at the national level.

However, Trinamool Congress leaders such as the party’s Rajya Sabha member Dr Shantanu Sen believe that the arguments of the CPI(M) and the Congress in West Bengal hold no ground as they have no relevance. He said, when the whole country regards Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee as the leader of the opposition, it does not matter what the leaders of the CPI(M) and the Congress in West Bengal say.

Leader of the Opposition in West Bengal, Shubhendu Adhikari said that the Congress’s opposition to the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal is just an illusion. He said, on one hand, Adhir Ranjan is talking about opposing the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal, while on the other hand, Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi is the chief counsel of the Trinamool Congress and the West Bengal government in the Supreme Court.
