Uttarakhand. Senior journalist and writer Jai Singh Rawat met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office on Saturday and presented him his latest book: “Badalte Daur Se Gujrati Jan Jaatiyan”. This book has recently been published by the National Book Trust of India (NBT), Government of India. This is the second book by Jai Singh Rawat to be published by NBT. Both the books are research texts. Author Jai Singh Rawat said that in this research book, an attempt has been made to briefly throw light on the entire tribal society of India, but the complete focus has been made only on the five tribes of Uttarakhand. In this book, an attempt has been made to understand the processes of development and especially the impact of education and health schemes on the five tribes of Uttarakhand and their sub-castes, as well as various cultures, society, place, language, script, biological diversity, educational diversity of the tribal people. An attempt has been made to throw light on the level, impact of development, food habits, worship methods and traditional practices. This book is the result of the research and study of the author for more than three decades.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami handed over Bolero pickup and 10 motorcycles to Eco Task Force
Uttarakhand. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday flagged off the Bolero vehicles and motorcycles provided to the Eco Task Force through Uttarakhand Horticulture Department at Garhi Cantt, Dehradun. During this period, 02 Bolero pickups and 10 motorcycles were handed over to Eco Task Force.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced on the occasion that in future the Department of Horticulture will make Eco Task Force by making 6 polyhouses, with four polyhouse project areas and two polyhouse battalion headquarters. Two JCBs for 120 days for the conservation of rain water before the monsoon in both the project areas from the Public Works Department. Will be provided. 50 thousand liters of tanks will be constructed for water storage under Water Life Mission in Sahia, Kasyali and Battalion headquarters of Eco Task Force. The irrigation system will be established in 10 nurseries of Eco Task Force. Uttarakhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (URDA) will provide a 100 kW solar panel in Dehradun, Sahia and Kasyali project sites. Proposals of Eco Task Force received in all government departments will be given full priority.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that this team is constantly trying to fulfill the purpose for which the Eco Task Force was established. The 127 Eco Task Force is the first environmental unit in the state, which was founded on 01 December 1982 at Garhwal Rifles Regiment Center Lansdown. He said that since the establishment of 127 Eco Task Force, there is a continuous work in the field of environmental protection in Garhwal region. The Chief Minister said that in the last 40 years, 127 Eco Task Force has admitted more than 1200 ex -servicemen of Uttarakhand state to unit and about 1 crore 98 lakh plants on about 20,698 hectares of land in Tehri, Chamoli, Dehradun, and Malari in Mana and Malari. Urged to direct the concerned for smooth operation of Dehradun-Pithoragarh-Hindon air service and Dehradun Haldwani-Pithoragarh Almora helicopter service.
The Chief Minister said that a target has been set to increase the state’s gross domestic product to Rs 5.5 lakh crore in the next five years. It is proposed to organize an investment summit in the state in the month of October/November 2023 to attract investors in tourism, agriculture, industry, health, education and service sectors. The Chief Minister requested to be given time in the month of October/November 2023 for the inauguration of the said investment summit.
The Chief Minister said that on the lines of the world famous Chardham, the Manaskhand Temple Mala Project has been started by the state government in Kumaon. Under this ambitious project, popularity will be given to the important mythological/historical places of Kumaon division by connecting them with the circuit so that pilgrims/tourists from the country and abroad can be attracted to come here and their journey can be made easy. The Chief Minister said that a target has been set to develop about 5 to 7 new cities under the development of urban areas in the state, in which in the first phase there is a proposal to develop the city in the 2000-acre Parag Farm located in Kichha under Udham Singh Nagar. For this, the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has been requested to provide funds of Rs.1000 crores. This green field city will be located on State Highway 47, just 15 km away from Rudrapur. The nearest railway station would be Pantnagar. From the point of view of economy, it will pass through the Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor. It is proposed to develop a Knowledge Park of 200 to 250 acres near this proposed city. Private investment of about 7000 crores is expected on the development of this city, in which along with employment generation of 50 thousand people, housing arrangements for about two lakh people are possible. The Chief Minister also requested to release the required funds for the development of this green field city.

Describing the Prime Minister’s words as inspirational, Chief Minister Dhami said that the “Mann Ki Baat” program has worked to change the lives of many Indians today. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami listened to the problems of the people coming from different areas of the state at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office on Friday. During this, the Chief Minister resolved most of the public problems and complaints on the spot. The Chief Minister instructed the officers that whatever letters have been received today for public complaints and problems, they should be sent to the concerned officers immediately for redressal. They will also take feedback on the action taken on all the problems and complaints.
The Chief Minister also directed the officers that strict action should be taken against the officers and employees who are unnecessarily delaying or stalling the works of the people. ADG V.
