    Vijayawada: Indian cricket team player K S Bharat (Kona Srikar Bharat) called on Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy at his camp office on Thursday. Bharat was accompanied by his parents Mangadevi and Srinivasa Rao, coach Krishna Rao and YSRCP MP P Mithun Reddy. Bharat gifted to the Chief Minister a jersey autographed by the team members. He said he was feeling proud for representing the Indian Test team as wicket keeper from the state and this happening after Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy became the Chief Minister.

    “I shared my happiness with him and he also felt very happy. Taking him as inspiration I urged him to extend his support,” the cricketer said, adding the Chief Minister had suggested that he should stive to bring laurels to the state and the country. He said the government was working hard to improve the basic infrastructure in the state and promote sports. He expressed the hope that it would encourage more sportspersons shine at the national level.

    CM YS Jagan will distribute Tidco houses on June 9

    Machilipatnam: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will distribute TIDCO houses to the beneficiaries in Gudivada on June 9.

    Addressing a review meeting here on Tuesday, Minister for Housing Jogi Ramesh disclosed that as many as 8,912 TIDCO houses will be handed over to the beneficiaries. The CM would be fulfilling the long-cherished dream of the poor to own a house, he said.

    The review meeting at Gudivada Municipal Council Hall was attended by Gudivada MLA Kodali Venkateswara Rao, CM Programme Coordinator and MLC Talasila Raghuram, district Collector P Raja Babu and SP P Joshuva.

    Speaking on the occasion, Minister Ramesh said that they have successfully organised CM district tours as he had visited the district three times so far. Likewise, the ensuing tour programme of the CM also will be a success, he informed. He insisted on making foolproof arrangements for the programme and instructed that every officer should strive for the success of the programme with better coordination. He asked them to ensure supply of drinking water, buttermilk and ORS for the public attending the meeting. He said that the TIDCO houses are looking neat and all the amenities were set up for the convenience of the beneficiaries.

    Krishna district Collector P Raja Babu outlined that they had arranged a control wing at the district Collectorate to oversee the arrangements for the CM programme. He said that they would set up medical camps at the public meeting venue. He directed the officials to take special steps to tackle traffic problems and asked them to ensure a hassle-free travelling experience to the public.

    DRO Venkateswara Rao, Gudivada RDO Padmavathi, Municipal Commissioner Murali Krishna and others attended the review meeting.

    Guntur: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will lay foundation stone for various development works at a cost of Rs 217 crore in Palnadu district on June 12. He will launch the distribution of Jagananna Vidya Kanuka kits and lay foundation stone for the construction of another bridge across River Krishna at Madipadu connecting NTR and Guntur districts. He will inaugurate the government polytechnic college building premises.

    Palnadu district Collector Siva Sankar Lotheti and MLA Namburu Shankar Rao on Tuesday reviewed the arrangements for the CM’s visit. They instructed the officials on setting up a helipad besides making arrangements for public meeting venue. The officials were further instructed to make arrangements in a big way for the visit and make it a success. They gave suggestions for parking areas of vehicles and lunch arrangements.

    Vijayawada: Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy will distribute 2,562 tractors, 100 combine harvesters and 13,573 other farm machinery at a cost of Rs 361.29 crores under YSR Yantra Seva Pathakam and deposit subsidy amount of Rs 125.48 crore directly into the accounts of farmers’ groups in Guntur on June 2, Friday, as part of second state level mega distribution programme..

    With a commitment to increase farmers’ income by reducing the cost of cultivation through mechanisation and to set up at least one CHC (custom hiring centre) at Rythu Bharosa Kendra (RBK) level, the state government is providing farm machinery to farmers’ groups on payment of 10 per cent of the cost of machinery, 40 per cent to be given as subsidy by the government and to facilitate the remaining 50 per cent as loan so that they can avail farm machinery services at affordable prices and other farmers in RBK will also get benefitted by low hiring charges..

    In the first mega distribution programme, a total of 3,800 tractors, 391 combine harvesters and 22,580 other farm machinery worth Rs 690.87 crore was made available in 6,525 RBK level and 391 cluster level custom hiring centres with a subsidy of Rs 240.67 crore.

    Including the farm machinery worth Rs.361.29 crore that are being distributed on Friday, so far the YSRCP government has distributed 6,362 tractors, 491 combine harvesters and 36,153 other farm machinery worth Rs 1,052.16 crore to serve 10,444 RBK level custom hiring centres and 491 cluster-level CHCs and a subsidy of Rs 366.15 crore is provided to farmers’ groups.. The state government has established 10,444 RBK level CHCs with Rs15 lakh worth machinery at each RBK and 491 cluster level CHCs with Rs 25 lakh worth of machinery at every cluster.
