    Odisha BSKY health card Fraud: JM Care hospital sealed

    Cuttack: The Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) sealed JM Care Hospital near Nayabazar in Cuttack on the allegations of irregularities in treatment under BSKY scheme.

    According to reports, the CMC health wing along with the Madhupatna police conducted a raid at the private nursing home near Nayabazar Gosala in Cuttack and found some irregularities in treatment under the government’s Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojans (BSKY) scheme.

    Later,the CMC officials, along with CDA enforcement and Madhupatna sealed the private nursing home.

    The case came to light when a complaint of death due to medical negligence was filed against private hospital JM Care Hospital at Nayabazar.

    Odisha: Main accused in Athagarh Jenapada firing arrested

    Cuttack: In a major success Athagarh Police in Cuttack district of Odisha on Saturday arrested the prime accused of the Athagarh Jenapada firing case. Police also seized the Mouser gun that had been used in the crime and 35 rounds of live bullets from the possession of the accused. The information was given in a press meet by Bijay Kumar Bishi, SDPO, Athagarh.

    The accused has been identified as the retired Army jawan Sadananda Das.

    As per reports, Athagarh Police arrested the accused Sadananda Das from Padmapur area of Bargarh district. A special team of Police had been formed by Athagarh Police to investigate the case and to nab the culprit.

    It is to be noted that this firing had been taken place in the Majhi Sahi of the Jenapada area in the month of February. As many as three persons had sustained critical injury in this shootout while one of them, identified as Bansidhar Nayak died during treatment.

    On the fateful day, while the shootout had taken place reportedly due to love affair, Sadananda opened fire at the three victims and fled from the scene. Since then police had launched a manhunt and nabbed the accused today.

    5T Secretary visits Puri, will visit Cuttack later today

    Puri: The 5T Secretary of Odisha V. K. Pandian, has visited the famous Jagannath Temple Puri earlier on Saturday, said reliable reports.

    This morning, he went to Puri to see Lord Jagannath and reviewed the progress of the historic Heritage Corridor Project around the temple. The 5T Secretary supervised how much of the project work has been completed and how much is yet to be done.

    The 5T Secretary of Odisha discussed the progress of the work with the officials in the Green, the Yellow and the Buffer Zones. The target is to complete the construction work of the project before the next Rath Yatra.

    According to the instructions of the Chief Minister the 5T Secretary, Chief Secretary are going to Puri at different times and supervising the project work progress.

    Currently, the outer access road construction is under progress at a fast pace. After completion of this, inner access road, connection of outer access road with Meghnad wall will be undertaken.

    Later, the passenger waiting hall, meditation center, corridor to avoid traffic problem will be constructed.

    Later today, the 5T secretary is scheduled to visit the Silver City of Cuttack. The Cuttack District Collector informed that the 5T secretary will visit Cuttack today. In Cuttack he is scheduled to check the progress of the work in the famous Cuttack Chandi Temple.
