    The body of a 17-year-old boy, who was reportedly missing for a month, was found near the police post at Kasumpti in the district today. The bereaved family members and relatives staged a protest outside the DC’s office here alleging police inaction.

    The family members from Sirmaur carried Abhishek’s body to different parts of the city before reaching the DC’s office. They then raised slogans against the police alleging negligence on their part.

    Abhishek had come to his relative’s place in Shimla and was undergoing treatment for some disease. His family said Abhishek was missing for over a month now but the police could not find him. They alleged that he was murdered and gave the names of some suspects to the police, demanding their arrest.

    The family also sought strict action against Kasumpti police officials investigating the matter.

    Bilaigarh. The incident of gruesome murder has come to the fore in Gram Panchayat Gagori of Bilaigarh development block of Chhattisgarh. The accused was openly roaming in the village in a small elephant vehicle carrying the dead body of a person after separating his head from the torso and after reaching the village informed his maternal aunt about the dead body. After which the incident spread like a fire in the village and Sarsiwa police reached the spot and arrested the accused Umashankar Sahu, after which further investigation is being done. The dead body has not been identified yet, why the murder was carried out is not known. Seeing this incident, panic has spread among the people of the village.

    According to the information, the accused was working in Raigarh by driving a small elephant vehicle and carried out the incident in Raigarh itself. The accused brought a small elephant about 60 kilometers to his village Gagori by separating its head from the trunk and then continued to drive the vehicle without fear, in the meantime the accused came out from at least four to five police stations, but no action was taken anywhere, here We can also say the inaction of the police that the dead body was being brought on the main road in this manner and no action was taken.

    Let me tell you, the accused is being suspected to be involved in more cases. Along with this, intoxication has also been told, because when the police arrested the accused after this incident and asked him to drink water, then he said that I will drink beer, not water, which makes it clear that he is intoxicated. . At present the Sarsiwa police is probing the whole matter.

    Nayagarh: In a sad incident, the body of a man was found hanging from a tree in Nayagarh district of Odisha on Sunday. The body was recovered from a tree on the Jhintika hill on the Bruttanga River bank. The man was missing for the last five days.

    The deceased has been identified as Bijaya Nahak of Krushnachandrapur Patana of Nayagarh district. He was a Dandua, a participant of Dandanata.

    As per reports, Nahak had set out from home along with other Danduas and the God’s palanquin to participate in the Dandanata. He had gone to the Ghughudipada village in the Daspalla area and was missing since last Wednesday.

    After Nahak went missing, the villagers and other Danduas along with Police personnel launched a manhunt to trace him. Today his body was found hanging from a tree on the bank of the Bruttanga River.

    After the recovery of the body, senior Police officials reached the spot and carried out an investigation.

    The said tragic incident frightened the villagers. It is yet to be ascertained whether it is a case of suicide or murder.

    Further investigation of the case is underway.
