  • Introducing Falun Dafa Practice at Book Fairs and Flower Shows

Introducing Falun Dafa Practice at Book Fairs and Flower Shows

People in India look forward to visiting book fairs and exhibitions during the winter season. Very few exhibitions have been held in the last few years due to the Covid restrictions. However, book fairs, exhibitions and flower shows are now being organized in many cities. On this occasion, Falun Dafa practitioners from India are also participating in these fairs and making people aware of this unique spiritual practice.
Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) is an ancient cultivation practice that teaches five gentle exercises, including meditation. Falun Dafa was first introduced to the public in China in May 1992 by Mr. Li Hongzhi. Today, it is practiced by over 100 million people in over 100 countries. But the sad thing is that China, which is the birthplace of Falun Dafa, has been suppressing it since July 20, 1999, which continues to this day.
Book fairs organized in different cities
Book fairs were organized in Pondicherry, Pune, Kolkata and Delhi in the last few months. Falun Dafa practitioners from different cities participated in these book fairs. A large number of people visited the Falun Dafa stalls during these book fairs. Practitioners regularly demonstrated the five exercises of Falun Dafa and distributed information leaflets about the exercises. The abhyasis also distributed paper lotus flowers to the people. Many visitors expressed interest in learning the Falun Dafa exercises and were surprised to hear that the practitioners always teach the exercises completely free of charge.
Annual “Chitra Santhe” Art Exhibition in Bangalore
The annual art exhibition “Chitra Santhe” was organized in Bangalore on Sunday, 8th January this year. More than 1200 stalls displayed their art in this exhibition and lakhs of people visited this fair. Falun Dafa practitioners also set up stalls on the occasion and displayed art paintings related to “True Compassion & Tolerance” to the public. He also distributed fliers to tell people about the Chinese Communist Party’s 23-year repression of Falun Dafa practitioners.
    Bangalore Flower Show
The popular flower show was held in Bangalore’s Lalbagh Garden in January this year. Falun Dafa practitioners also set up a stall on the occasion, where they demonstrated exercises and distributed information about the exercises. The main attraction of the flower show was a huge mural made of flowers depicting a lotus flower being held in the hands. The mural was written on one side in English and on the other in Kannada – “The world needs truth, compassion, tolerance”, which are the basic principles of Falun Dafa. Everyone was appreciating this mural and many youths were clicking selfies in front of it.
Indian Falun Dafa practitioners are selflessly promoting this unique practice across the country. Falun Dafa is helping people achieve good health, calm their mind and guide them on the right path in life. If you are interested in learning this exercise, you can register for the free webinar at www.LearnFG.in. You can find more information about this practice at www.falundafa.org.

  • Remembrance of April 25, 1999 – Peaceful Appeal of Falun Dafa Practitioners

Remembrance of April 25, 1999 – Peaceful Appeal of Falun Dafa Practitioners

New Delhi. The peaceful protest of 25 April 1999 in China can be called a milestone, which even Martin Luther King and Mahatma Gandhi would have appreciated. About 10,000 Falun Gong practitioners gathered at the Zhongnanhai Central Government Complex in Beijing and protested peacefully for their civil rights, to appeal against the Chinese media’s slanderous articles about the Falun Gong cultivation practice. Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) is a cultivation practice of mind and body, originated in China in 1992 by Mr. Li Hongzhi. Because of its health benefits and spiritual teachings, Falun Gong became so popular in China that within a few years millions of people were practicing it. The growing popularity of Falun Gong came to the chagrin of the Chinese Communist rulers.

The April 25 appeal, in the history of China’s Communist regime, was notable not only for its size, but also because it was entirely peaceful and orderly. However, the Chinese regime twisted the facts. To this day, the communist regime accuses Falun Gong of “laying siege to the Zhongnanhai Central Government Complex” on April 25, 1999. They falsely allege that the mob of 10,000 was a violent threat to the nation and its leaders. But nothing could be further from the truth. Traffic moved smoothly throughout the day. Some abhyasis took initiatives to ensure smooth flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Practitioners continued to walk on the side of the road, allowing pedestrians to use the sidewalk. They were calm and orderly.

The then Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji met with Falun Gong representatives and assured that the government would not oppose Falun Gong. After that the 10,000 abhyasis started going back peacefully. As they left, the abhyasis cleaned up their surroundings, even picking up cigarette butts dropped by the police. Two months after the false promises of the Communist regime, on July 20, 1999, Chinese Emperor Jiang Zemin began the most brutal crackdown on Falun Gong practitioners that continues to this day. Till date millions of Chinese people have been abducted and imprisoned, tortured, fired from schools, jobs, or left homeless for practicing Falun Gong. There have been 80,000 cases of torture in China. Thousands were murdered.

The suppression and genocide of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party is a crime against humanity. Indian citizens should also condemn the human rights abuses in China and support the Falun Gong practitioners. In this context, this petition is becoming very popular in many countries including India: www.change.org/supportfalungong You can also help end the 23-year-long oppression of Falun Gong practitioners in China by signing this petition. You can find more information about this at www.faluninfo.net.
