    In Surat’s Sachin area, three bike riders who came riding on a bike to rob a mobile, stabbed a laborer to death.     At Sachin Hojiwala Industrial in Surat last night, three people riding a bike were attacked with a knife after looting a mobile. In which an artisan was killed, the Sachin police registered the crime of robbery along with murder and intensified the action to nab the three bike riders. In which the police has succeeded in arresting the three accused in a few hours. Of these three, one was caught from Pandesara area while the other two were residents of Vapi.

    After the incident of murder with robbery in Sachin, the police started investigating the incident. In which the Pandesara police arrested the accused Satyamsingh alias Golu Radheshyamsingh. The police recovered a bike, a knife and a stolen mobile phone from him and handed over the accused to the Sachin police. On receiving information about other accused Vikas alias Saurabh Vijay Pratap Chaturvedi and Rohit Achhelal Yadav going to Mumbai by train, Vapi Railway Police was contacted and informed about the accused. Therefore, the Vapi Railway Police arrested both the accused from the railway station. In this case Sachin Police has arrested all the three accused and started legal action.

    The operation and maintenance of traffic signals is done by the Municipal Corporation. On the other hand, a meeting will be called with the Municipal Corporation officials and the traffic police on April 19 to keep the traffic signals closed in the afternoon due to the scorching heat. In which a decision will be taken to keep the traffic signal closed in the afternoon. Presently, the city has 252 four way, five way and circles where traffic signals have been installed.

    Signal time will be fixed at 60 seconds

    After peak hours, a decision will be taken to keep all traffic signals closed for 3 hours i.e. from 1 pm to 4 pm. Although there are 25 to 30 traffic signals where there is heavy traffic throughout the day. Such a signal would reduce the chain time of the light by 50 percent. Thus, a signal with a time of 1 minute will be fixed at 30 seconds, while a signal with a time of 120 seconds will be fixed at 60 seconds.

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the state government would provide financial assistance of Rs 1.5 lakh each to about 7000 such women during this financial year under this scheme. Under this scheme, the annual income of women should be less than two lakh rupees. The scheme is being finalized by the Women and Child Development Department and eligible widows and single women will be benefited under this scheme. The CM said that this initiative of the state government will give strength to such women, who are unable to get their houses constructed due to financial constraints. With the help of this scheme, these women will now be able to build their own house.
