    Marketing company employee killed, hit by unknown vehicle

    Durg. An unknown vehicle hit a bike rider in Mohan Nagar police station area of the district. The driver died on the spot after the bike collided with the culvert. The driver has been identified as Jitendra Kumar Devangan (32 years). Jitendra worked in a marketing company by profession and was coming to Durg for some work.

    Jitendra Kumar Dewangan lived in Bade Temri village of Bori police station area. He was coming from the village to Raipur in a bike. While coming from Rajnandgaon towards Durg, as soon as he reached near the petrol pump about 3 km before the toll plaza, a speeding vehicle from behind hit him.

    The collision was so fast that Jitendra jumped along with the bike and hit the culvert. He died on the spot due to a deep head injury. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and sent him to the district hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. After this the relatives were informed. The post-mortem of the dead body has been done on Saturday. Then the relatives have been handed over.

    Two highways seized while transporting Murum illegally

    Durg. Tehsildar Dhamdha and Sub-Divisional Officer Revenue Dhamdha conducted a surprise spot inspection on receipt of information about illegal Murum mining and transportation in Naguva pond under village Hardi police station Nandini Nagar of Tehsil Dhamdha of the district, in which a JCB vehicle number BL 04 DC 5245 was found on the spot. Murum was found mining by, whose vehicle owner’s name is Dhruv Kumar Agarwal resident Gasti Chowk Durg Road Bemetara.

    A highway (truck) vehicle number BL 07B was excavated by the said JCB. 8511 (Hiva Malika’s name Raman Kumar Agarwal resident Durg Road Bemetara) was being loaded. Along with this, a highway (truck) vehicle number Bl 08.gj 8211 (name of vehicle owner Ravi Kumar Agarwal resident ward no. 16 Bemetara) was found transporting Murum without permission on Hardi road. The seizure deed of all the three vehicles was prepared on the spot. The seized vehicles have been kept in the custody of station in-charge, station Nandini Nagar. No competent document was made available from the concerned vehicle drivers regarding Murum mining and transportation.
