    Anakapalli: A fire broke out at Parawada Pharma City at a storeroom meant to dump waste in the wee hours of Sunday in Anakapalli district.

    People of the surrounding areas sounded alert seeing a thick smoke emitting from the scrap storeroom.

    Heavy flames and thick smoke came out as chemical plastic cans and other waste were burnt. The thick smoke caused eye irritation to the locals and some of them also felt suffocated.

    After receiving the information, Parawada firefighters reached the spot and brought the flames under control. Fortunately, no one was injured or hurt in the incident.

    Janjgir-Champa. A huge fire broke out in a chaat cart at the main gate of Crocodile Park in the district, which also engulfed the nearby shops. There was chaos due to fire in the gas cylinder kept in the chaat cart. Somehow the people having breakfast there and the shopkeeper saved their lives. The case is of Akaltara police station area.

    According to the information, the shopkeeper was selling chaat by setting up a chaat cart at the main gate of Crocodile Park located in Kotmi Sonar. Gas was leaking from its cylinder. Then suddenly a fire broke out in the cylinder, which spread all over the handcart. Somehow the shopkeepers and people saved their lives by running away from there. People immediately called the fire brigade. Here the fire also engulfed two more carts nearby, due to which the situation became uncontrollable.

    As soon as the information was received, the fire brigade reached and controlled the fire. There has been no loss of life in the fire. Although the handcart has been burnt to ashes. Everything kept on it has also been burnt. Police also reached the spot. At present, further action is being taken.

    Visakhapatnam : A thick smoke came out of a shopping mall located at Gopalapatnam in Visakhapatnam on Thursday night.

    Tension prevailed in the area as locals ran out of the nearby houses watching the smoke. The incident happened at Yuva Rani Shopping Mall in Gopalapatnam.

    Following the alert received from the locals, fire fighters rushed to the spot to douse the fire. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident.

    A team of five fire extinguishers rushed to the spot to put off the fire. However, it took close to 18 hours to douse the fire.

    According to the mall management, huge property damage is estimated. The mall personnel said a stock of Rs 60 lakh was recently purchased and they have gutted in the fire accident.

    According to the fire and police, a short circuit could be the possible reason for the fire mishap.

    Traffic came to the standstill as the fire fighters got busy dousing the flames. One of the BRTS lanes was blocked following the accident.

    Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a DCM vehicle carrying a load of plastic chairs caught fire at Rajendranagar on Monday.

    According to officials, the driver of the DCM noticed fire coming out from the vehicle’s rear side and after parking it on the roadside jumped out of it. The DCM went into flames within a few minutes.

    On receiving information, a fire tender from the local fire station rushed to the spot and the fire fighters doused the flames. The cause of the fire is being ascertained.
