    Leopard skin and deer horn recovered from inside the ground

    Gariaband. The Udanti Sita River Sanctuary Administration of Gariaband has again got great success. The team raided Karkapani, Patdhara and Sunabeda areas of Odisha adjoining the sanctuary area. Here leopard skins, live wild boar, deer horn and hunting weapons have been recovered from the house of three accused. All the three accused have fled from the spot, for which the team is engaged in search.

    The day before, the sanctuary administration had arrested 5 accused of hunting wild animals. On the spot of these accused, the administration along with Odisha Forest Staff conducted a search operation with a team of 50 people. Due to the area being a Naxalite area, this time the help of CRRPF was also taken. This action has been confirmed by Deputy Director Varun Jain.

    Gariaband. The anti-poaching team of the Chhattisgarh Forest Department raided several villages in Odisha’s Nuapada district bordering the Udanti Sitanadi Sanctuary. During this, the team seized the skin, teeth and nails of the tiger. The confirmation of tiger hunting has once again put the forest department in worry.

    The skin parts and remains of other wild animals like bear, deer, kotri have been obtained from the hunters. The forest staff of both the states jointly launched the campaign and arrested 5 accused from both the states. After identifying 6 other accused involved in regular hunting, the team has also started searching in the area. Hunting tools have also been seized from the poachers.
