    Hyderabad: The TS EDCET entrance exam held on Thursday was conducted smoothly for admissions into the two-year B Ed course across Telangana.

    During the event, officials gathered at Mahatma Gandhi University in Nalgonda to oversee the CET entrance process and release the answer key. Following that, Telangana State Council of Higher Education Chairman Prof Limbadri, MGU Vice Chancellor, and TS EdCET Chairman Prof Ch Gopal Reddy inspected the DPMS online examination centre at SPR School premises in Nalgonda. They revealed that out of the required 10,725 candidates for the first session of the three-phase examination scheduled from 9 am to 11:30 am, 8,981 candidates appeared for the test.

    ‘Yoga festival’ held at Vizianagaram Fort

    Vizianagaram : A massive yoga programme was organised in Vizianagaram Fort on Saturday in association with Ministry of Ayush, Government of India and GITAM University to publicise the importance of yoga in daily life.

    The Union government is organising yoga programmes all over India. As many as 1,000 students, employees and others from various organisations took part in the programme.

    The programme ‘yoga for harmonious living’ has drawn the attention of various groups in the district.

    Prof K Suneetha of GITAM University, Visakhapatnam explained the importance of yoga and how it will help human to lead peaceful life, support us to get rid of all tensions and pressures.

    Yoga will make us strong mentally and physically. The Union government will organise worldwide programmes on June 21 as International Yoga Day.

    Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga selected several educational intuitions to take part in the mission and to conduct programmes. Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram are only two cities selected to conduct yoga programmes as part of the mission in two Telugu states.

    TL Narasimha Rao, Prof B Nalini of GITAM University K Surya Kanthi of MR Degree College and others attended the programme.

    Annual Brahmotsavam of Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy held at Ekalakhanpet

    Rangareddy : The annual Brahmotsavam of Lord Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy was celebrated in a grand manner on Tuesday in Eklaskhanpet village of Shadnagar. The event was held under the patronage of Shadnagar MLA Anjaiah Yadav, and a large number of devotees from all the mandals and villages of the constituency attended the celebration. During the Brahmotsavam, AnnamayyaSankirtans were sung by a singing group, and annaprasadam was distributed to the devotees.

    In his address, MLA Anjaiah Yadav said that such events not only provide an opportunity for devotees to express their devotion and gratitude to the Lord, but also bring the community together in a spirit of unity and harmony.

    The event was attended by several public representatives, including Village Sarpanch Kavitha Ravinder Yadav, MPP Y Ravinder Yadav, Y Murali Krishna, TSCU Chairman Raja Varaprasad, BRS leaders, officials, and others.

    An Army Training Command (ARTRAC) investiture ceremony was held here on Thursday.

    General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, ARTRAC, Lt Gen SS Mahal, AVSM, VSM, awarded COAS certificate of appreciation to HAWS, Gulmarg, and GOC-in-C ARTRAC unit appreciations to five category A establishments and an affiliated unit for their outstanding performance during the training from 2021 to 22.

    The recipients of the prestigious GOC-in-C ARTRAC unit appreciation were College of Materials Management (CMM), Jabalpur, Army Air Defence College (AADC), Gopalpur, College of Military Engineering (CME), Pune, Institute of Military Law (IML), New Delhi, Army Educational Corps Training College and Centre (AEC TC&C), Pachmarhi, and 6 Field Regiment. The IML and the AEC TC&C have been awarded for the first time since their establishment.

    The recipient establishments and regiment of awards have made exceptional contribution in enhancing training ethos and standards of the Army, which lays the foundation of a strong and resilient force for the 21 century.

    Commandants and Commanding Officer of these establishments regiment and their Subedar Majors received appreciations from the Army commander.
