    Una. An unknown person attacked a person sleeping outside the house with a sharp knife in village Gondpur Jaichand of Haroli sub-division, bordering Punjab in district Una, due to which he was injured. The injured has been identified as Hasandin son of Badardin. The victim has lodged a complaint in this regard at the police station. On the other hand, on the basis of the complainant, the police have started further proceedings by registering a case against the unknown person who carried out the incident.
    In the complaint given to the police, the victim said that on the night of June 30, after having his usual meal, he slept on a cot outside the house. During this, around 11:00, he heard the sound of some person coming near, hearing which he woke up. On seeing that unknown person attacked with a sharp knife.

    The accused was held firmly by the victim with both the hands, but during this he sustained injuries on his ear, neck and shoulder. After the incident, Hasan tried to catch the assailant, but the accused managed to push him away and fled towards the fields. At the same time, after the incident, its information was also given to the police. DSP Haroli Mohan Rawat has confirmed the matter.

The injured have been sent to the hospital for treatment. At the same time, the police have taken the dead body in possession and sent it for postmortem. Along with this, a case has been registered in the context of the incident and further proceedings have been initiated.

    According to information, a Maruti car was going from Kafnu towards Yagpa. As soon as the vehicle reached near the block point of Yagpa, the driver lost control of the car and the car fell down the road into Yagpa Khad. A woman died on the spot in the accident. At the same time, 5 other passengers were seriously injured. As soon as the information was received, the police team also reached the spot.     Randhir Sharma said that after the month of March, liquor vends are opening at many new places in Himachal Pradesh. Apart from this, liquor contracts are being opened in panchayats without NOC. People and Mahila Mandals are strongly opposing these contracts at many places. He said that NOC is no longer required in Panchayats. Under the guise of these unfair rules, liquor contractors have started opening liquor vends and premises at various places, due to which the atmosphere of the state is deteriorating. He said that the BJP is with the government in any campaign against drugs, but this campaign has become just a gimmick.
    Randhir Sharma said that the Kiratpur-Manali four-lane has not even been inaugurated yet, but a large number of liquor vends have opened there. He said that the government should tell under which rules these contracts are open. He demanded the government to investigate all the contracts and strictly implement the excise policy. He alleged that many liquor contractors were cheating the government.
