    Hyderabad: Asian Cinemas is one of the biggest multiplex chains in India. Suniel Narang is the owner of this chain of theatres. We all know that Asian Cinema joined hands with the superstar of Tollywood Mahesh Babu in this business. AMB Cinemas in Gachibowli, Hyderabad is running very successfully.

    Later, Asian Cinemas collaborated with icon star and pan-Indian actor Allu Arjun for another branch of this multiplex chain. They started AAA Cinemas in Ameerpet, Hyderabad. Allu Arjun is the investor in this multiplex. Asian Cinemas and Satyam Theatre hold shares in it.

    Today, AAA Cinemas opened with a grand event. Allu Arjun graced the event and greeted the fans. Telangana cinematography minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav launched the theatre. Allu Aravind and Allu Ayaan also attended the event along with Allu Arjun. Many other Tollywood celebrities also attended the event.

    AAA Cinemas will start running with Prabhas’s Adipurush tomorrow. This multiplex would provide the best theatrical experience for the Hyderabad locals with the latest technology system and support.

    Girl student commits suicide by jumping from college hostel in Hyderabad

    Hyderabad (IANS) | A 16-year-old girl student, who took admission in a private junior college in Hyderabad a week ago, allegedly committed suicide by jumping off the fifth floor of her hostel building on Tuesday. According to the police, the incident took place at Narayana College Hostel in Bachupally area of Nizampet.

    The students saw the body of the Class 11 girl student lying in a pool of blood on the ground and informed the college authorities.

    After getting information from the college administration, the police reached the spot and sent the body to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem.

    The girl, a resident of Kamareddy town, was admitted to the college by her parents a week back.

    She lived in the college hostel.

    The reason behind the girl taking such a drastic step is yet to be ascertained. Police is trying to ascertain whether he left any suicide note.

    The police have informed the girl’s family members. A case has been registered at KPHB police station under Cyberabad police commissionerate limits.

    According to a US Embassy official quoted by TOI, tens of thousands of appointments will be released for July and August. As students eagerly await the opening of these slots, it is important for them to be well-prepared.

    Prior to the release of the appointment slots, it is crucial for students to familiarize themselves with the prohibited items at the US Consulate in Hyderabad. A recent video released by the consulate details the items that are not allowed inside the Nanakramguda facility.

    Battery-operated or electronic devices
    Bags including purses, travel bags, backpacks, briefcases, and suitcases (Unsealed plastic bags, small cloth bags, and zip folders are allowed)

    Powders of any kind, including religious-related powders or spices.
    Visitors, including those who book US student visa appointment slots, must carry government-issued identification. It is important to remember that photocopies of IDs are not accepted. The identification document must be the original version.

    Additionally, visitors should verify that the name on their identification matches the name on their appointment at the US Consulate in Hyderabad.

    Hyderabad: Urdu Academy announces Makhdoom, Karnama-e-Hayat awards

    The Telangana Urdu Academy has revealed the recipients of the prestigious Makhdoom Awards and Karnama-e-Hayat (Lifetime Achievement) Awards in various categories honoring Urdu writers, scholars, poets, and journalists. As part of the Telangana Foundation Day celebrations, an award ceremony and mushaira will be held at Ravindra Bharati on June 11. President of the Urdu Academy, Mohammad Khwaja Mujeebuddin, made the announcement, expressing his enthusiasm for recognizing and celebrating the accomplishments of Urdu language and literature.

    The Makhdoom Awards have been designated for a period of five years, from 2019 to 2023, while the Lifetime Achievement Awards will be presented for three years, covering the period from 2018 to 2020. President Mujeebuddin mentioned that the awardees were chosen by separate committees comprising Urdu language and literature experts who meticulously evaluated the contributions of the nominees.

    Under the Karnama-e-Hayat category, the Urdu Academy presents seven awards annually, including the Amjad Hyderabadi and Saeed Shaheedi Awards for Poetry, the Dr. Mohiuddin QuadriZor Award for Criticism and Research, the Dr. Agha Hyder Hassan Award for Prose, the Prof. Habeeb-ur-Rehman Award for Education and Teaching, the Mahboob Hussain Jigar Award for Journalism, and the Srinivas Lahoti Award for the Promotion of Urdu.

    Hyderabad (IANS) | A student of intermediate second year (Class 12) allegedly committed suicide in Hyderabad. Navya hanged herself at her residence in Bharat Nagar under Kulsumpura police station area on Wednesday night. The girl’s parents alleged that she had died due to ‘shudra puja’ (black magic). He said that unknown people performed ‘petty worship’ in front of his house. They found lemon and diya near the entrance of the house.

    Navya’s parents allege that she committed suicide due to black magic done by unknown people.

    Police sent the dead body for postmortem. They have registered the case and started further action.

    The heatwave has intensified in Hyderabad as the mercury on Friday reached to an alarming 42.9 degrees Celsius.

    Among the city’s localities, Khairatabad has emerged as the hottest area, as per a report by the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS).

    Hyderabad is currently grappling with a relentless heatwave. The soaring temperatures have affected various localities, with most areas experiencing temperatures surpassing the 40-degree Celsius mark.

    Hyderabad (IANS) | Amid continuing tussle with the Telangana government, Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan on Friday said the people are with him. He declined to comment on whether the state government has invited him for the Telangana Foundation Day celebrations.

    “I am not going to comment on whether the invitation was given or not,” she told media persons. I am with the people of Telangana and the people of Telangana are also with me. I celebrated with him. That’s all I can say.

    Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao unfurled the national flag at the main foundation day function held at the newly built state secretariat.

    The Governor had earlier complained that he had to attend the inauguration of the Secretariat and Dr. B.R. Not invited for many important events including unveiling of 125 feet statue of Ambedkar.

    Tamilisai said he invited those who had fought for Telangana in 1969. I celebrated the Foundation Day with him and I am proud to honor him, he said.

    Asked about Chief Minister KCR’s recent remark that the post of governor is only decorative, he said, “Today’s celebration is the answer.” My doors are always open for people.

    Tamilisai said she was overwhelmed by the support and love and affection of the people. He said that it filled his heart with joy to see the cultural programs showcasing the pride of Telangana.

    Tamilisai, who is also the lieutenant governor of Puducherry, later left for the union territory. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has suggested that State Formation Day should be celebrated in all the states.

    He gave his speech in Telugu at the program organized at Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad. He said that the movement for Telangana has a special place. People of all classes participated in it. He said that it was a non-violent movement, people had sacrificed their lives for Telangana.

    Two superfast railway lines to connect Telangana, Andhra Pradesh

    HYDERABAD: In welcome news for the railway passengers of the Telugu states, the Union government has approved the construction of two new superfast railway lines connecting Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Railway authorities have been instructed to conduct the necessary surveys to enhance connectivity between these regions.

    One of the proposed superfast railway lines will run between Shamshabad (Umdanagar Railway Station) and Visakhapatnam via Vijayawada. This line will prove highly beneficial as it will offer direct connectivity to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Hyderabad for passengers travelling from different parts of Andhra Pradesh heading to the Middle East. This will be the first time that Umdanagar will have a direct superfast railway line.

    The other new railway line will connect Visakhapatnam and Kurnool via Kacheguda. There has been a significant demand for the introduction of more trains towards Mahbubnagar and Kurnool. The Railway Board has granted approval for the necessary survey to strengthen connectivity between the two States with the construction of these two new superfast railway lines.

    The Railway Board has communicated to the South Central Railway zone instructing them to conduct surveys for the first railway line between Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada in AP as well as between Shamshabad and Visakhapatnam.

    A survey will also be carried out for the second railway line. The technical feasibility required for the implementation of the superfast railway project along these routes will be determined through these surveys. Once the surveys are completed, the project will move forward.

    Union Minister G Kishan Reddy has held multiple meetings with Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and submitted letters highlighting the benefits that these superfast railway lines will bring to the Telugu states.

    Taking this into consideration, the Railway Board has recently decided to conduct surveys for the superfast railway lines on these two routes.”The technical feasibility required to undertake the super-fast railway project on these routes will be determined through the survey. The survey will be completed in six months after which the project will be taken forward. Together, these two railway lines will account for a length of 942 km route (to travel at a maximum speed of 220 kmph),” according to a release by Minister Kishan’s office.
