    Chief Minister KCR will inaugurate ‘Brahmin Kalyan Parishad Sadan’

    Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will inaugurate the ‘Brahman Welfare Parishad Sadan’ building constructed in Hyderabad on May 31. He also decided to establish Mallinathasuri Telugu Sanskrit language University.

    At a high-level meeting, the Chief Minister asked Dr KV Ramana Chary to perform ChandiYagam and Sudarshan Yagam at the new building.

    The Priests from all the States, famous shrines, KanchiKamakoti and other places including Dwadasha Jyotirlingas, prominent Hindu religious leaders, Brahmin community leaders from all states and Brahmin public representatives will be invited for this inauguration ceremony. The officials are directed to take care of all the arrangements for their travel and stay. The CM ordered Finance Secretary Ramakrishna Rao to release necessary funds for the programme.

    A Library with literature such as spiritual scriptures, Vedas, Upanishads and Puranas will also be opened in the Brahmin Parishad Bhavan. He wanted the literature to be made available to create awareness about divine works like Satyanarayana Vrat and yagnas.

    The CM said that the building of the Brahmin Parishad should continue as an information center and a resource center to the spread of devotional and spiritual ideologies.

    Rajnath Singh inaugurates IAF Heritage Center in Chandigarh

    Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the first-of-its-kind Indian Air Force (IAF) Heritage Centre here on Monday, officials said.

    The Centre has been set up under a memorandum of understanding between the Union Territory of Chandigarh and the IAF which was signed last year.

    Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Banwarilal Purohit, Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari and Chandigarh MP Kirron Kher were also present on the occasion.

    The IAF chief had visited the Indian Air Force Heritage Centre last month to review its progress.

    Spread over 17,000 square feet, this is the first heritage centre of the IAF and depicts its role in various wars, including in 1965, 1971 and the Kargil war, and the Balakot air strike through murals and memorabilia.

    Its exhibits will be a source of inspiration for future generations and will showcase the indomitable spirit of the Indian Air Force, officials said.

    Railway Kodur (Annamayya District) : Agriculture Minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy inaugurated the newly-constructed academic block, boys and girls hostels built at a total cost of Rs 15 crore at Dr YSR Horticulture University in Railway Kodur mandal in Annamayya district on Friday.

    Speaking the occasion, the Minister said that as part of initiatives to improve the living standards of farmers, the government has been encouraging Agriculture and Horticulture universities in a big way by allocating adequate funds.

    He said that lakhs of farmers were getting benefited through Rythu Bharosa Kendras (RBKs) and securing quality seeds for different crops.

    Lauding former Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy for establishing Dr YSR Horticulture University, he said the university was playing a crucial role in producing quality seeds and supplying them to farmers.

    He said that he would to get more funds for the development of university by taking the issue to the notice of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

    University Vice Chancellor Dr T Janakiram said the university was providing quality seeds and plants related to various crops. He. thanked the Chief Minister for extending support for all-round development of the university. Railway Kodur MLA Korumutla Srinivasulu also spoke.

    15 MLD sewage treatment plant inaugurated

    Ongole(Prakasam district): Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Dr Audimulapu Suresh, MLA Balineni Srinivasa Reddy and district Collector AS Dinesh Kumar inaugurated the 15 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant near Koppolu village in Ongole Municipal Corporation on Wednesday.

    Speaking on the occasion, Minister Suresh said the government wants all the towns in the State to be developed in a way that they are maintained clean and hygienic. He said Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is developing towns with the slogan – ‘Clean Andhra Pradesh’. Towns are expanding and people from villages are living in towns for various reasons and the government is developing the infrastructure to provide them all facilities, with the motto ‘Decentralisation of Administration and Decentralisation of Development’, he added. The Minister said that Ongole town will become a city soon, and the government is committed to boosting it with all necessary infrastructure.

    MLA Srinivasa Reddy said that the Chief Minister will distribute housing plots to the poor in the town. He thanked CM Jagan Mohan Reddy for sanctioning Rs 230 crore for the plots and said that about 25,000 beneficiaries will receive them.

    Collector Dinesh Kumar said that Ongole town requires 30 MLD STP, and they have inaugurated 15 MLD plant now. The government has sanctioned another 15 MLD plant and the work will start soon, he added.

    Ongole Urban Development Authority chairperson Singaraju Meena Kumari, Ongole Mayor Gangada Sujatha, Deputy Mayor Vemuri Suryanarayana, Municipal Commissioner M Venkateswara Rao and others participated in the programme.

    CM Stalin to invite President Murmu to inaugurate new government hospital in Chennai

    CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin would invite President Draupadi Murmu on April 28 to inaugurate the new 1,000-bed multi-speciality government hospital here, the government said.

    An official release here said Stalin would leave for Delhi on Thursday night and call on President Murmu on Friday.

    The 1,000-bed hospital was set up at an outlay of Rs 230 crore on the premises of King Institute of Preventive Medicine at Guindy here. The six-floor 51,429 square metre facility has several specialities and super-specialities and high-tech amenities.

    On June 3, 2021, the birth anniversary of former chief minister M Karunanidhi, Stalin had announced setting up of the hospital. The date of inauguration of the hospital is expected to be known later. Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi, in the meanwhile, left for Delhi in a morning flight.

He claimed that an environmentally friendly and energy-efficient water metro service will alter the way people commute in cities. He said that the water metro will revitalise the transportation and tourist industries.

    Water Metro would have an elite touch with a low price tag, according to Kochi Metro managing director (MD) Loknath Behra, who is also a former state director general of police (DGP). 15 routes totaling 75 kilometres have been streamlined, and we anticipate more electrically-powered hybrid boats from the Cochin Shipyard. In addition to single trip tickets, water metro offers weekly, monthly, and quarterly passes.At first, a vessel will arrive every 15 minutes.

    LB Nagar RHS flyover to be inaugurated soon

    Hyderabad: Motorists moving on the busy roads of L B Nagar will soon heave a sigh of relief as from traffic congestion as the much-awaited RHS flyover in L B Nagar is set to be inaugurated soon.

    The 700-meter long flyover whose works were taken up under the Strategic Road Development Programme (SRPD) project constructed at a total cost of Rs 32 crore will relieve commuters coming from surrounding districts as well as residents via Hayat Nagar.

    According to GHMC, the flyover, which was delayed due to the Election Code, will be thrown for the public by March end.

    With the construction of flyover, the area would not face traffic congestion and will provide smooth flow of traffic for the commuters at L B Nagar Junction without any disruption.
