In the encounter, two cattle smugglers with a reward of Rs 25,000 each were shot. The same constable was also injured by the bullet of miscreants. Police arrested six gang members in the encounter. Police have recovered illegal pistols, vehicles and cattle from cattle smugglers. The injured miscreants and constable have been admitted to the government hospital.

Where there was an encounter between police and cow smugglers as soon as the day broke on Monday. Superintendent of Police Chakresh Mishra said that there was an encounter between the police and the cow smugglers. Incidents of cow smuggling have also been carried out by these scoundrels in the neighboring districts of Moradabad and Amroha. Police of Sambhal and Moradabad were following these cow smugglers.

    On this matter, the DM of Ganjam said that “a team of police personnel reached the spot and rescued the injured people and shifted them to hospitals.” The same police officer said, “The 12 dead included seven members of the same family and their relatives.” He further said that “the injured are undergoing treatment at MKCG Medical College and Hospital and Digpahandi Hospital and two of them have been referred to SCB Medical College and Hospital Cuttack. Meanwhile, the Special Relief Commission has sanctioned an amount of Rs 30,000 for the treatment of each of the injured.

    Baripada: In a major breakthrough in the forester murder case, Mayurbhanj district police reportedly arrested as many as 10 persons for their involvement in the case, informed SP B Gangadhar.

    While addressing the media persons in Baripada today, police arrested the accused persons and seized two country made guns, two bows, three arrows, two axes, one iron rod and other fire arms from their possessions.

    The arrested persons have been identified as Turi K Kandeyan, Ramai Kandeyan, Mora Ho, Manikram Kandeyan, Gopabandhu Kandeyan, Dilip Kandeyan, Ramsingh Gundua, Singha Ho, Gameya Ho and Champain Ho, said the SP adding that all of them are said to be the residents of Edelbeda village under Thakurmunda Police station limits.

    The arrested persons were produced in a court, informed the SP.

    It is to be noted here that Forester Mati Hansda was shot dead by poachers inside the Similipal Tiger Reserve (STR) on June 16. Police had started a probe into the case after registering a case under Sections 302 and 34 of IPC.

However, when it comes to Adventure bikes, the company is yet to make a step in this segment. According to the latest leaks by Rush Lane, TVS has trademarked the ‘TVS Apache RTX’ name.

    ‘TVS Apache RTX’ name suggests that the company is seriously thinking about taking part in the Adventure segment. The Apache RTX is expected to get the same engine that is available in the BMW G 310 GS. When it comes to power figures, the TVS Apache RTX will produce 33.52bhp power and 28 Nm of maximum torque. The engine will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The platform of the upcoming adventure bike by TVS is expected to be the same too.

    When it comes to features, the TVS Apache RTX is expected to offer disk brakes at the front and the back along with Dual channel ABS, inverted forks on the front, adjustable suspension at the rear, full-LED lighting etc. The bike might offer important information like RPM, mileage, fuel capacity, gear positioning, tachometer on a refreshed instrument cluster. It is expected to get smartphone connectivity support too.

    Bhadrak: In a shocking incident, as many as three dead bodies have been found to be missing from a graveyard in Bhadrak district of Odisha, said reports on Sunday.

    Such a weird incident has been reported in Bhandaripokhari block of Bhadrak district in Odisha. This has taken place in the graveyard near Maninathpur village on the banks of Baitarani river in Bhadrak.

    The bodies of those identified as Akshay Behera, Dinbandhu Nath of Maninathpur village who died less than 20 days ago and Shrikant Behuria who died around two months ago were buried in the graveyard. But, yesterday some children of the village noticed that the graves had been dug up and found the bodies to be missing.

    After the strange news of the disappearance of the body, hundreds of villagers gathered there. However, the place where the corpse were buried has been dug up. The clothes worn by the corpse, footprints of the robbers, and the corpses have been removed from the spot.

    It is however believed that a few miscreants have been said to have stolen the body late at night. Earlier in the afternoon, four youths were seen walking near the graveyard. They were noticed and marked by a few villagers because they were speaking in Hindi.

    It is worth mentioning that, the villagers suspect their involvement in the incident. On the other hand, there is a rumor that someone has stolen the body due to some racket. It must have been dug up for the skeleton which is generally needed for the medical college laboratory or for some  tantric ritual or performance.

    The villagers have strongly demanded to investigate the incident and lift the curtain on the mystery behind the disappearance of the bodies from the graveyard.
