    Jagannath Rath Yatra: Special Mo Bus Service To Puri From Tomorrow; Check Routes & Timings

    Bhubaneswar: With the sibling deities of Jagannath Temple in Odisha’s Puri on their nine-day annual sojourn, the CRUT has decided to run Ratha Jatra Special Mo Bus service between Khurda, Jagatpur, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and the pilgrim town from June 22 to June 27.

    It will also run shuttle service between Malatipatpur and Puri Bus Stand.

    The CRUT further informed that route no.  7, 8 & 52 will remain suspended till June 30 due to traffic restrictions in Puri.

    Mo Bus, introduced in the Capital Region on November 6, 2018, covers Khurda, Cuttack and Puri with a ridership of 2.3 lakh per day with 390 buses. It was extended to Rourkela-Biramitrapur-Rajgangpur Master Plan area in Sundargarh during the World Cup Hockey in January this year. The service will soon be introduced in Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Brajarajnagar, Belpahar, Berhampur, Gopalpur, Chhatrapur, Hinjilicut and Digapahandi.

    Special Trains For Pilgrims Visiting Jagannath Rath Yatra In Odisha’s Puri; Check Details

    Puri: The Indian Railways will be running 857 special trains for 20 lakhs pilgrims visiting Puri to participate in the world-famous Rath Yatra of the sibling deities of Jagannath Temple here.

    “Elaborate arrangements have been made at Puri railway stations to ensure proper drinking water supply and toilets. AI technology has been used to ensure that buses automatically leave Malatipatpur as soon as a train arrives here to aid their onward journey. Tents have been put up, and devotees are being provided free food too. Priority has been given to safety and security of the pilgrims and a 24*7 police control room has also been set up,” Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw told the media.

    According to ECoR, 208 special trains will be operated from different parts of Odisha as well as Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
