    Janjgir-Champa. Laborer Om Soni (24 years) fell down while painting the house being constructed in Shankar Nagar of the district. While falling, he came under the grip of an electric wire passing through the street, due to which he got electrocuted. People took him to BDM Hospital, where after investigation the doctor declared him dead. The case is of Champa police station area.

    According to information received from ASI RP Baghel posted at Champa police station, Hitendra Vishwakarma has a house under construction in Shankar Nagar, for which he had given a contract to Ramkumar Suryavanshi for painting. On Friday, laborer Om Soni (24 years) was painting the exterior of the house. While painting the house, suddenly he started falling down from the two-storey house. The electric wire passed only 2 feet away from the house, he fell into it and got electrocuted.

    After this, the young man fell down on his head on the road. The fall caused a serious injury to his head. Other laborers and the landlord working on the spot took the seriously injured laborer to BDM Hospital, where the doctor declared the young man dead after examination. There is also a burn mark on the left hand of the deceased. After getting the information, the police reached the hospital and sent the dead body for postmortem while taking action.

Unidentified thieves took advantage of the shutters being open at night and entered inside the house. The accused opened two boxes kept in the room and fled away with Rs 50,000 in cash and jewelery worth more than Rs 50,000.

    On Tuesday, people saw 2 open boxes and scattered goods at some distance from the house of farmer Sadhu Ram Patel. After this he informed the farmer about this. The farmer reached the spot and identified both the boxes. The victim informed the Pamgarh police station about the theft of cash and jewelry. Police reached the spot and searched around the house. Police have registered a case against unknown thieves.
