Today, a furious elephant straying from the party reached the rural area and destroyed the house. The Forest Department team is constantly monitoring the movement of elephants and is alerting the people.

    According to the information, in Pathalgaon and Kansabel area, the mischief of the fierce elephant separated from the team is going on for three days. Elephant has broken 6 houses in 4 villages including Tangar village. There is an atmosphere of fear among the people due to the mischief of the elephant. Meanwhile, two teams of the forest department are alerting the villagers after reaching the village. The furious elephant is roaming in the residential areas only.

A speeding truck rammed a motorcycle rider on the main road in Rede village of Jashpur’s Baghbahar police station area on Wednesday late evening. Due to which the young man died a painful death. After the incident, the truck driver fled leaving the truck. But the police laid siege and arrested the accused driver. The accident was so terrible that the body of the young man was mutilated.

    The name of the deceased is Ranjan Yadav, who was a resident of village Tapkara. On Wednesday, the youth had gone to Pathalgaon to buy a new tractor. After purchasing a new tractor from there, Tapkra was returning to his home on his motorcycle (CG 17 KD 0185). During this, while overtaking the truck, the truck rider crushed it. In this accident, the young man died tragically. Bagbahar police station in-charge Vansh Narayan Sharma told that the truck driver had fled after the incident. Who has been arrested. Panchnama action has been taken on the dead body. After the postmortem, the dead body has been handed over to the relatives.

The house got damaged and the elephant also licked the grains kept there. The forest department team that reached the spot also failed to drive away the elephant. The team has issued an alert in the village.

The flames spread up to a radius of one kilometre, causing damage to a lot of vegetation and wildlife. The villagers informed the forest department about this. After this the Forest Department team brought the fire under control.

    Pandra Path police post said that the woman died after hitting a stone. Her feet had slipped while walking and she slipped and fell on the stone. Her nose was badly hurt. She died after half an hour. The post-mortem of the woman’s body has been done, the post-mortem report is yet to come.
