    Kakani Govardhan Reddy laid the foundation stone of electricity sub-station

    Kadapa (YSR district): Agriculture Minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy on Sunday laid foundation stone for 33KV power sub-station at Chandrasekhara Puram village in Tothapalle in Gudur mandal.

    Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that in view of avoiding unscheduled power cuts and supplying quality power to the farmers, the government has taken up the construction of 33KV power sub-stations in a big way across the state.

    The minister recalled that farmers in several villages of Podalakuru mandal have overcome the power cuts problem and securing quality power due to establishment of 33 KV power sub-station in his native village Toderu recently.

    He said that the government has proposed to set up 33KV power sub stations where ever necessary in a phased manner in the district.

    Later the minister conducted Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam programme at Mandapam village of TP Gudur mandal. On the occasion, the minister interacted with the public and enquired the villagers whether they are getting the benefits of welfare schemes properly.

    He also urged the farmers to utilise the Rythu Barosa Kendrems (RBKs) as the government providing all services in one platform for the interest of farmers.

    Kavali (Nellore district): Agriculture Minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy has urged the officials to take measures for the success of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s one-day tour to Kavali on May 12.

    Addressing a meeting of officials from different departments along with Collector M Harinarayanan here on Tuesday, the Minister has disclosed that during his one-day tour, the Chief Minister will inaugurate the process of distribution of Pattadar passbooks to 23,000 farmers whose dotted lands in 43,000 acres were excluded from the records in the SPSR Nellore district. He said it was decided to organise the Chief Minister’s programme in Kavali as a majority of issues pertaining to dotted lands were identified in Atmakuru and Kavali divisions. Later, the Agriculture Minister inspected the ongoing arrangements at the helipad and the public meeting venue at the ZP High School in the town. Kavali MLA R Prathap Kumar Reddy, MLCs B Masthan Rao, T Raghuram and others were present.

    Railway Kodur (Annamayya District) : Agriculture Minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy inaugurated the newly-constructed academic block, boys and girls hostels built at a total cost of Rs 15 crore at Dr YSR Horticulture University in Railway Kodur mandal in Annamayya district on Friday.

    Speaking the occasion, the Minister said that as part of initiatives to improve the living standards of farmers, the government has been encouraging Agriculture and Horticulture universities in a big way by allocating adequate funds.

    He said that lakhs of farmers were getting benefited through Rythu Bharosa Kendras (RBKs) and securing quality seeds for different crops.

    Lauding former Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy for establishing Dr YSR Horticulture University, he said the university was playing a crucial role in producing quality seeds and supplying them to farmers.

    He said that he would to get more funds for the development of university by taking the issue to the notice of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

    University Vice Chancellor Dr T Janakiram said the university was providing quality seeds and plants related to various crops. He. thanked the Chief Minister for extending support for all-round development of the university. Railway Kodur MLA Korumutla Srinivasulu also spoke.
