    Under Section 19 of the Motor Vehicles Act 1988 and Rule 21 of the Motor Vehicles Rules 1989, driving licenses of 33 drivers were suspended in the month of June for such careless drivers. District Transport Officer Atul Asaiyya said that the police department sends a proposal to the Transport Department for suspension of the license, after which action is taken to suspend the license after giving an opportunity of hearing to the concerned license holder.

Shortly after giving birth to the child, the health of the woman started deteriorating and she died. As soon as the relatives got the news of the woman’s death, they created a ruckus. The relatives vandalized the hospital fiercely. The family members also had a scuffle with the doctor.

In this regard, on June 05, 2023, a letter was also received from the Office of the Chief Minister’s Residence, Government of Chhattisgarh for investigation, in which according to the complaint, the former employee (contract) of the Women and Child Development Department, even after resigning from the then post, in the year 2022- 23 Official cash book has been maintained. In the context of the complaint, an inquiry committee was formed by the collector’s office. In the inquiry report received from the committee, the complaint is confirmed by the statements given by Reena Laria and former employee (contract). Due to the above reasons, the service of Smt. Reena Laria, District Child Protection Officer (Contract) has been terminated by the Collector.
