    Kawardha. A case of raping a minor has come to light under Kawardha City Kotwali police station of Chhattisgarh. On the complaint of family members, a case was registered against the accused youth and a search was conducted. On the information of the informer, the police detained and interrogated the youth Devicharan (alias Golu) on the charge of raping a minor.

    Where the accused youth confessed his crime. At present, the City Kotwali police has arrested him under the POSCO Act and sent him to judicial remand. The accused is a resident of Bichiya and currently lives in Minimata Chowk of Kawardha.

    Kawardha. The dead body of the son-in-law of a family of Turaiyabahra village under Chilfi police station of the district was found in suspicious condition. The deceased had come to his maternal home to pick up his wife. The wife had come to her mother’s home after quarreling with him, after persuading whom Dhur Singh Baiga came to his in-laws house to take them back home. But on Saturday late evening his dead body was found under suspicious circumstances. The police is investigating the matter.

    The dead body of Dhur Singh Baiga was found lying on a sheet. The hanging noose was tied around the neck of the deceased. The other part was tied to the tree. The family members were shocked to see the dead body like this. The brother-in-law of the deceased informed the police about the incident. Chilfi police reached the spot and sent the dead body for postmortem. The in-laws are being questioned.

    The deceased Dhur Singh Baiga is a resident of Palak village. A few days back he had a fight with his wife. After which the wife had come to her maternal home Turaiyabhara village with the children. A few days later, Dhur Singh came to Turaiyabahra on Tuesday to persuade his wife and take her back home to Palak village. During this he stayed at his in-laws house. On Thursday, after having dinner at his elder brother-in-law’s house, he went to his younger brother-in-law’s house to sleep at night. When the room got hot, he went to sleep on the terrace. When the in-laws saw in the morning, Dhur Singh was not on the roof. The in-laws thought that he must have gone back to his village but on Saturday evening his dead body was found in the forest outside the village.

Under the direction of Divisional Forest Officer Chudamani Singh, the Forest Department is continuously running a campaign for the protection of forests including prevention of forest crimes. Today, 06 pieces of teak door frames of 0.102 gm were illegally sold in village Dhawala of Sahaspur Lohara area of Kawardha forest division. The said wood and vehicle (motor cycle) were seized when found being carried. Divisional Forest Officer Chudamani Singh said that on June 16, special night patrolling was done in the area by forming a team by Forest Range Officer Sahaspur Lohara.

    During patrolling, 06 pieces of teak door frame 0.102 gm illegally from motor cycle number CG 09 JC 8625 in village Dhawala. Forest crime case no. 17184/22, dated 16.06.2023, accused Mr. Vishnu Vs. Sameol, aged 38 years, village Botesur, tehsil S.Lohara and Jagelal’s father Chanu village Bhadutola, the said wood and vehicle were seized and handed over. Mr. Amit Kumar Dhruv, Deputy Forest Guard, Mr. Omkar Chandravanshi, Forest Guard and Mr. Shivkumar Sahu, Forest Guard played a special role in the night patrolling team.

    Kawardha. Bajrang Dal workers have handed over a truck full of cattle and its driver to the police at Chhattisgarh-Madhya Pradesh border station Chilfi in the district. While 2 other accused have escaped by jumping from the truck. A total of 32 buffaloes have been found in the truck.

    Two of them were found dead. Actually, this whole matter is related to Chilfi police station area of Kawardha district. The cattle were being taken towards Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. From here there was preparation to take the cattle to the slaughter house. However, in between the Bajrang Dal workers were informed about the smuggling. After this, the workers overtook the truck from Bodla and caught it near Chilfi RTO checkpost. After the information, the police reached the spot and took the truck full of cattle in their possession. Also arrested the truck driver Hasim Qureshi. The accused is a resident of Uttar Pradesh. Action will be taken against the accused under the Animal Cruelty Act.

    In the case, Chilfi police station in-charge said that information was received from the informer that cattle were being transported illegally in trucks from Chhattisgarh towards Madhya Pradesh. Bajrang Dal workers took the truck in their possession. On questioning the truck driver, the accused did not show any document regarding the purchase and sale of cattle. After this, on strict questioning, the accused said that he was going to Jabalpur with the cattle. At present, the police have arrested the accused and sent them to judicial custody. The police is looking for the two smugglers who fled.

    It is being told that 11 KV high tension wire has been lost from the field, which was lying on the ground after breaking since morning. The cattle went near the wire while grazing and got caught in it. He died on the spot due to electrocution. It is a matter of honor that no one went near there, otherwise a big incident could have happened.

    The villagers told that the department is running its arbitrariness in the area. Every day the power supply is stopped without any reason. At the same time, maintenance work is not done for hours or two days in case of any fault. If the electricity department would have detected the fault as soon as it appeared and carried out maintenance, then perhaps the innocent cattle would not have lost their lives.

The goat owner had complained about the theft of the goat in the Pandariya police station. Suspecting this theft, 4 policemen from Pandariya reached village Jamunpani and brought the young man sleeping in the house to Pandariya police station on charges of goat theft, where the policemen started strict inquiry about the theft of the goat and refused to commit the theft. The person thrashed the young man fiercely.

    The policemen brutally beat the young man with sticks and straps on both his palms, soles of his feet and body, due to which marks are visible on the face and body of the young man. Now the youth has complained against 4 policemen to SP Dr. Abhishek Pallav and has demanded justice.
