Both the accused were caught and detained in Erla village on Chhattisgarh-Odisha border.

Constable Jitendra Patel was on duty from 12 to 3 in the night. After this he had duty from 10 am to 2 pm. He came to the duty room from 10 to 2 pm and after a few minutes the incident took place. At present, the dead body has been sent for postmortem after doing panchnama, while the forensic team is investigating the matter closely.
