Dilharan Patel’s son Amar Patel told that his father used to get upset seeing the family in financial crisis. He took this step out of desperation. Took land from the villagers but did not give compensation. It is noteworthy that in Korba district itself, there are hundreds of Dilharan Patels, whose land was made landless by taking it in the name of a mine.

Under the guidance of City Kotwali in-charge Inspector Roopak Sharma, the investigation of the case was started by forming a police team under the leadership of outpost in-charge Sub-Inspector Premchand Sahu. On the basis of information, the accused Firat Ram Rohidas alias Liti, Krishna and Ramkumar Garhwal, all three residents of Dadarkhurd, were arrested. At his instance, 22 stolen conveyor belt brackets worth about Rs 50,000 were recovered.

    On the complaint of the victim Abhishek Tuli (24), an FIR has been registered against a total of 9 miscreants including Cheena Pandey, Gopu Pandey, Komal Patel, Gautam alias Kande, Alok alias Sona, Krish alias Golu, Pandya, Nishu and Rahul alias Motu. All the accused have been booked under sections of kidnapping, extortion, assault and intimidation. These include non-bailable sections. The name of Cheena Pandey, a resident of Purani Basti, has also been involved in a murder case. Which was also done from the district. Apart from Cheena, other miscreants have also been history-sheeters.

    The victim youth Abhishek told in the complaint that on June 14, Cheena Pandey and his miscreants demanded Rs 10,000 from him as goonda tax. On saying that he did not have money, first kidnapped him, took him to his cowshed and beat him to death. The miscreants beat him up under the influence of alcohol. Abhishek told that Cheena Pandey has already taken five to ten thousand as gunda tax two to three times.

Due to which one group had demanded goonda tax from the people of other group. The first group was demanding Gunda tax from the second group which was conducting illegal activities. The deceased, Bansat Kumar Kosle, worked in NTPC and his body was found behind the school on June 14. Actually, on June 13, Basant’s brother Jagat Ram Kosle lodged a missing report of younger brother at Chowki Rajgamar. It was told in the complaint that Basant Kosle lived on rent in Amdand and worked in NTPC. On June 13, he left the house saying that he would bring chili for the children and then did not return till late night. Police registered a case on the complaint. On June 14, Basant’s body was found behind Ompur Quarter School. On the basis of marks found around the neck, the police started investigation by linking the case to murder. During investigation, the police interrogated Sanita Kosle, the wife of the deceased on the basis of suspicion.

    In strict interrogation, the woman told that Dinesh Sonwani was a resident of Darrabhata police station Sipat Bilaspur. Both had to come and go to each other’s house. Meanwhile, Dinesh had a love affair with Sanita Kosle, the wife of the deceased. Both wanted to be with each other but the woman’s husband was coming in between. Because of this, both together made a plan to kill Basant Kumar. On June 13, Sanita Kosle contacted her lover Dinesh Sonwani over phone and called him Amandand Rajgamar and created a story of her husband’s murder.

    After questioning the woman, the police caught and interrogated Dinesh Sonwani. The accused told that along with his accomplice Sikander Shah, Rajgamar came from Darrabhata Sipat in his friend’s motorcycle. From here Sanita Kosle was called and asked to send Basant Kosle to liquor shop Rajgamar Ompur. As part of planning, the wife of the deceased sent husband Basant Kumar Kosle to Rajgamar to get chicken chillies for the children. Here Basant met the accused Dinesh Sonwani. Ompur came to the forest after buying liquor from the liquor shop. Dinesh Sonwani, along with his accomplice Sikander Shah, strangled Basant to death with a towel after drinking a lot of alcohol here. The towel used in the incident, the motorcycle was seized. Accused Dinesh Sonwani, Sikandar Shah and Sanita were arrested and all three were produced before the court on judicial remand.

Four youths riding a bike collided with the vehicle of the company constructing the National Highway Fourlane. Due to which all the four youths died on the spot. All the four youths are residents of Kumhar Mohalla of Chaitma village.
