The matter pertains to Mahalpara of Baikunthpur police station area. On getting the information, the police reached the spot and got the dead body out of the pond. After which a case has been registered by doing Panchnama. The police is investigating the matter.

    Radheshyam, a resident of Mahalpara of Baikunthpur, died due to drowning in the pond while fishing in the pond. Radheshyam, aged 58, used to work as a laborer in a kiln. That’s why he had to come here. On Saturday, around 8 am to 9 am, Radheshyam had gathered with his partner to fish in the pond. When he started going deep while fishing, the other laborers of the pond forbade him to go deep and catch fish. But Radhey Shyam did not agree and went deeper. During this, his foot slipped and he fell into the pond. He did not get a chance to recover from the sudden accident and he drowned in the pond.

    Seeing Radheshyam drowning, the companions tried to save him. Forum villagers were informed. After which some people showed courage to search in the pond, but due to the depth, people could not go ahead. They all failed to save him.
