    Raipur. Citizens living in nearby settlements and colonies are troubled due to the liquor shop located in Bhatagaon Ring Road near Interstate Bus Stand. Satyamev Jayate Foundation will protest near the liquor shop along with the regional citizens demanding the closure of the liquor shop to remove their problems. Issuing a statement, the State Coordinator of Satyamev Jayate Foundation, Kanhaiya Aggarwal said that on May 13, 2023, a memorandum was given to the Collector and District Excise Officer demanding the closure of the shop in a village.

    The Collector had said that he would direct the Excise Department to take necessary action to remove the problems in the said area, the District Excise Officer had also said that a proposal would be sent for shifting the liquor shop. It is worth mentioning that due to the liquor shop located in Ring Road, women from nearby areas including Sonkar Para, BSUP, Anand Nagar, Brahmadev Colony, Wallafort City, Danteshwari Temple, Chharipara, Uttam Nagar, Ask City are afraid to pass through that route due to drug addicts. . The environment is bad because of the drug addicts in the entire road. The citizens of the colonies and settlements are worried about the problems caused by the liquor shops.

    He said that despite the passage of 45 days, there is displeasure along with displeasure among the citizens of the area due to no decision being given regarding reducing the closure of liquor shops. If no decision is taken regarding the closure of the said liquor shop in 07 days, then the people of the area will be forced to protest indefinitely near the liquor shop.

    Bilaspur. Miscreants tried to rob a liquor shop in the district. However, they could not succeed in their plan, after which the miscreants fled with the DVR of the CCTV. A complaint has been registered in the case at Sarkanda police station. At present, the police is engaged in the investigation of the case.

    The whole matter pertains to Sarkanda police station area of Bilaspur. Where on Monday morning at 4 o’clock the thieves broke the lock of the liquor furnace and tried to loot there. But failed to execute the incident. After which the enraged thieves took away the CCTV DVR from there. Not only this, the thieves threatened the security guard and also assaulted him.

    Frightened, the guard gave complete information to the supervisor of the liquor shop in the morning, after which a complaint was lodged at Sarkanda police station. The police questioned the guard about the miscreants. During interrogation, the guard told that “3-4 miscreants reached the distillery at 4 in the morning. The thieves first threatened me, then assaulted me.” After the fight, the miscreants chased away the guard as well. All the miscreants entered the shop by breaking the lock of the liquor shop. However, nothing was found in the hands of the thieves. The thieves stole the DVR of the CCTV after getting angry on not getting anything.
