Time for people to oust Jagan from power: Lokesh

Nellore (SPSR Nellore district): TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh on Tuesday said that it was high time for people of the State to dislodge YS Jagan Mohan Reddy from the Chief Minister’s chair to safeguard the interests of the State.

As part of his ongoing Yuva Galam Padayatra, the TDP leader addressed a large public gathering at VRC Centre in Nellore city on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, he pointed out that AP was known as the ‘Job Capital’ during the regime of Chandrababu Naidu, but now it has turned into a centre for various anti-social activities like ganja smuggling, illegal transportation of sand, land-grabbing and cricket betting resulting in all sections of people feeling insecure in the State.

Referring to the murder of former minister Y S Vivekananda Reddy, the TDP leader pointed out that the CBI has already named Kadapa MP Y S Avinash Reddy as the eighth accused in the charge-sheet. The Central agency was preparing ground for including the name of Jagan Mohan Reddy t as one of the accused in the case, he alleged.

Lokesh pointed out that though the TDP was given only a few MLA seats in Nellore district in 2014 polls, it has allocated adequate funds for the development of the district. When P Narayana was a Minister, Rs 5,500 crore was spent for the development of Nellore city.

He regretted that the development of Nellore was stalled during the YSRCP regime even as that party secured 10 Assembly seats and one MP seat in 2019 elections.

He came down heavily on the Chief Minister for completing ignoring the progress of the district.

He pointed out that three YSRCP MLAs Anam Ramanarayana Reddy (Venkatagiri), Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy (Udayagiri) and Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy (Nellore Rural) were suspended by the YSRCP just because they raised their voice demanding that the State government release funds for pending works in the district.

“This is first of its kind ruling party registering cases against it own party MLAs like Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy without any reason,” he remarked. Alleging that Nellore city MLA Poluboyina Anilkumar Yadav was involved in grabbing of lands worth Rs 1,000 crore in places like Donthali, Allipuram, Naidupet, Inamadugu, Allipuram, Sadarapalem Damaramadugu and Vaviletipadu, the TDP leader said his party will conduct inquiry into the land-grabbing and the lands would be handed over to the real owners.

Former Minister P Narayana, TDP politburo member S Chandramohan Reddy, MLAs A Ramanarayana Reddy and K Sridhar Reddy were present.

YSRCP government diverted Rs 75,560 crore meant for BC welfare: Lokesh

Nellore Rural (SPSR Nellore district): Alleging that YSR Congress party was responsible for diverting Rs 75,760 crore meant for BCs welfare to other purposes, TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh has assured that his party would introduce a Special Act for protection of Backward Classes.

As part of his ongoing Yuva Galam Padayatra, the TDP leader visited Gundlapalem and Vaddepalem villages in Nellore rural constituency on Sunday.

Speaking after receiving a representation from the BC people at Vaddipalem village, the TDP leader pointed out that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy came to power by securing majority votes of the Backward Classes, but he betrayed them completely after assuming charge.

Stating that about 26,000 fake cases were foisted on BCs during the last four years, the TDP leader said that his party has decided to bring in a special Act immediately after returning to power in 2024 elections for the protection of BCs. He said that his party would ensure providing tools to caste-based professions (Kula Vruthulu) at 90 per vcent subsidy by restoring the Aadarana scheme.

Responding to a complaint of Gundlapalem villagers over the poor condition of roads in their village, the TDP leader said that the same has been the state of roads in the entire State as the YSRCP government is least bothered on the issue.

He said the contractors were not coming forward to execute the works as the State government failed to clear their long standing dues.

He assured that the Gundlapalem- Krishnapatnam single road would be re-laid as a four-lane road after the TDP regains power in the next elections.

Earlier, a large number of supporters welcomed Lokesh in Nellore rural constituency. Nellore Rural YSRCP suspended MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy along with his brother K Giridhar Reddy and several other activists welcomed the the TDP leader at Kagulapadu village in Nellore rural mandal on Sunday

  • TDP will create 20 lakh jobs for youth: Lokesh

TDP will create 20 lakh jobs for youth: Lokesh

GUDUR (TIRUPATI DIST): TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh said that the coming TDP government will invite industries on a large-scale to create 20 lakh job opportunities to the youth.

‘’In the YSRCP rule the future of the youth is under threat. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has completely damaged the future of the youth,” he said with serious concern while interacting with the villagers of Varagali in Gudur Assembly constituency during his ongoing Yuva Galam Padayatra on Friday.

The Chief Minister has totally failed in fulfilling his promises on issuing job calendar, mega DSC and filling of vacant constable posts, he said.

But the TDP always keeps its promises made to the people and at least 20 lakh jobs will be created by the coming government to be headed by N Chandrababu Naidu by inviting industries to the State on a large scale. Taking the merit of every individual into consideration the job opportunities will be provided to the youth, he added.

On learning about the suicides of farmers, he said that Jagan could not prevent the suicides in his own district and how anyone can expect that he will do something for the farming community in the State to check the suicides. He also regretted that women and the physically challenged too were being neglected by the YSRCP government.

Observing that the Chief Minister is doing great injustice to even private drivers and those who are in government service, including the APSRTC, Lokesh said that on learning about the problems being faced by various sections, Chandrababu Naidu has announced the Maha Sakthi programme.

Listing out various welfare schemes announced by the TDP to be implemented soon after the party is back in power, he said that even the reorganisation of the districts was done most unscientifically. The coming TDP government will merge Gudur into Nellore district as requested by the villagers of Varagali.

When the Tamminapatnam villagers raised problems being faced by them, Lokesh said that it is the duty of the State government to see to it that necessary compensation is paid for any project displaced but the Jagan government has miserably failed in the matter.

It is really unfortunate and the coming TDP government will certainly take necessary measures to solve the problems of the displaced.

Meanwhile, Lokesh’s padayatra entered Sarvepalli constituency in Nellore district on Friday night from Gudur. Former minister and TDP politburo member Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy and others welcomed Lokesh into the constituency.
