Shivraj government is now preparing to please the employees

Bhopal (IANS) | Before the assembly elections to be held in Madhya Pradesh this year, the Shivraj government of the ruling party BJP is trying to please every section. Government has taken many decisions for half the population and farmers. The government also aims to please the working class in the coming days.

If we consider the number of employees and pensioners in the state, then this number is around 14 lakhs. Of these, 7.5 lakh are regular employees, 4.5 lakh are pensioners, and 2.25 lakh are contractual employees. The government is working on a strategy to appease these employees and pensioners. While there is a preparation to increase the dearness allowance of regular employees, the problem of pensioners also has to be resolved. Apart from this, a big gift can also be given to the contract employees from the government. Discussion on this is going on through the Staff Welfare Committee.

If experts are to be believed, the number of families belonging to 14 lakh employees, pensioners and contract employees and the number of voters associated with them reaches around 60 lakhs. Therefore, the government wants to play a big political game by making the employees happy.

The Shivraj Singh Chouhan government of the state has earlier succeeded in pleasing a large section of women through Ladli Bahna and also attracted farmers by increasing the Samman Nidhi. Now, in this sequence, if any decision is taken for dearness allowance to employees, other problems of pensioners and contract employees, then it can prove to be an election bet.

  • Congress’s special focus on Bundelkhand region in Madhya Pradesh

Congress’s special focus on Bundelkhand region in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal (IANS) | In the assembly elections to be held in Madhya Pradesh this year, the Congress has a special eye on one of its weakest areas, the Bundelkhand region. This is the reason why the activism of all the leaders of the party is increasing in this area. Bundelkhand is that region of the state, which has 29 seats out of 230 seats in the assembly. At present, BJP is in possession of 19 of these seats. Congress has MLAs in eight places and SP-BSP have one seat each. Overall, BJP is in a stronger position than Congress.

Congress used to have Satyavrat Chaturvedi as a strong leader in the Bundelkhand region, but after the 2018 assembly elections, he has completely distanced himself from politics. At present, Congress does not have any big face in this area. On the other hand, BJP state president Vishnu Dutt Sharma is the MP from this area while Prahlad Patel is a minister in the Modi government. Uma Bharti also comes from this region. Apart from this, five key ministers in the Shivraj government come from this locality.

Congress wants to gain an edge in the upcoming elections in this area, hence the activism of its leaders has increased. Former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh has visited those areas on which the Congress has been losing several times. He has also interacted with the workers. Former Union Minister Arun Yadav is also continuously active in this field. Yadav is a big face of the backward class and the number of his supporters is also considerable in this area. He has visited this area twice in the last one month and during this he held meetings and held talks with all the leaders.

The part of Madhya Pradesh consists of seven districts of the Bundelkhand region: Sagar, Damoh, Tikamgarh, Panna, Niwari, Chhatarpur and Datia. Even when the Congress came close to power in the 2018 assembly elections, it did not get much success in this area. This is the reason why Congress is keeping a special eye on this region to get maximum seats in the next elections.
